Red Velvet's The ReVe Festival Day 2 mini album is an excellent follow-up to their Day 1 release. Production quality is up to Red Velvet's usual top-notch standards and it feels like a progression of the previous. I think the two albums could have been released as one, and feel the material on Day 1 is slightly stronger, but tracks like Umpah Umpah get you movin' and groovin' and you just enjoy it for the KPOP fun that it is. The girls' voices and harmonies are wonderful as alway, and the inventive retro-modern theme is still evident.
My daughter introduced me to Red Velvet and KPOP and I can't say that it was a bad thing. Initially it might sound too poppy and overproduced, but the more I(we) listen to it, the better it gets. She loves this release, especially since I got her the upgraded box set with book and extra goodies. Packaging and printing is excellent. If she's happy, I'm happy, and this music makes us both happy. If you're new to RV, then I suggest starting off with an earlier release, but in the end, this is as good a place to start as any.

My daughter bought the day 2 version, not the guidebook version. It came with 1 photo booklet, 1 CD(beneath the booklet in photo), 2 posters, 1 photocard, and 1 travel kit that includes multiple stickers and a luggage tag.
