Top customer reviews
Vendetta, the second full-length novel in the series, did not disappoint. The book contains the same attention to detail, with the artifacts mentioned as magic focal points described so that they can be pictured, and yet with historical accuracy. The blends of supernatural characters and varied types of magic are also well-researched (out of curiosity I was led to explore some of those mentioned, just to find out whether I had been fooled). And Charleston: I really do need to visit that city to experience the flavor described.
However, the strongest point of this book is the characters. A few old favorites return to join Cassidy, Teag, and Sorren, bringing little bits of their story with them. The mysterious Alliance and some of its members starts to take on more substance. Cassidy and Teag continue to develop their magical abilities. More of Sorren’s history and emotional ties are revealed. And even minor characters like Anthony and Maggie step up to become more integral parts of the team.
I highly recommend this book, but also suggest starting with the first in the series. You won’t regret it! I only hope that there are more coming – and soon!
