Pros- Keep hands warm
Run off bike battery so they last as long as they are on unlike ones with AA batteries
Easy to install harness
Cons- Cord can be a hassle as its slightly bulky and not very flexible
Bulky enough to make thumb controls difficult
Overall, very worth the trouble.
The package comes with a complete set of wires and manual and everything. It was very easy to mount the wires and connect them to the battery. It took me less than half an hour to do it all by myself.
My only complain is that they are not very flexible (maybe because of the cold weather I feel that they are so rigid to move). But even that won't stop me from giving this product a 5 star (I am saying that after trying 5 pairs of $100+ gloves).
I totally recommend these for real bikers who ride in the winter :)
The ultimate test was from Houston to San Antonio to Dallas in early March 2015 during a cold snap and snow in Dallas. Temps were 35-45, blowing winds and some light to moderate rain.
All I can say is buy these gloves. Took maybe 3 minutes to hook up to my battery and unlike another reviewer(s) the cord goes into the sleeves of my jacket in seconds and my gloves/thumbs fit great with no hard to use issues. My hand measures about 9 inches long and I ordered the XX-L gloves. These babies warm up fast and kept my hands toasty and pliable at 75-85mph on the high setting outside temp averaging about 40 degrees, winds 10-20mph with gusts to 34mph.
After connecting the power cord to the gloves line I tuck the extra cord into my tank bag. I thought about heated grips but I'm glad I opted for these gloves, they keep my entire hand and fingers very warm unlike heated hand grips where your knuckles and top part of your hand freeze but your palm and underside stay somewhat warm. I usually preheat these for a few minutes then slip them on. This is one of the best investments this year for my riding comfort.
The construction quality/stitching of these gloves is quite high, overall I am very pleased with this purchase. Would buy again.
