The first year I used it daily, and after a month of use I had to replace my car battery.. good think it was frigid and snowing that day..
for some reason I had the idea that being plugged in, but OFF should not drain the car battery... bad decision.
The second year I sparingly used it.. although when I did the led light blinked on/off .. which gave me goosebumps, so I would unplug it and not use it for the rest of the ride.
The third year I decided to use it on a record cold day. Fuse on the in-line controller blew, and the unit stopped working. I went to the store and after finding someone to get me the proper fuse, I changed a couple only to burn though both of them. Cold and dissapointed I gave up on again having any comfort and went home. The next day I saw what the problem had been. The inline controller is connected to the cloth cover .. guess where: the LOWER RIGHT SIDE of the SEAT CUSHION... I've been slowly cutting the wire with the seat belt buckle over time. I'm not sure how much this is going to cost me.. but I'm not sure its even worth the time and money to fix it.
So after 3 winters of use, I can say that I've bought a very expensive seat cover. When working properly, the back the the seat did get comfortable.. but the leg and lower back area lacke the same distribution of heat.
