It's All Hocus Pocus - Doesn't Work

Useless.

I bought a whole bottle to have on supply for a potential mishap, and one involving my a88hole cat peeing on my brand new couch has occurred.

It's been 4 heavy applications over a week's time - [@] a month in & my cushion still stinks.

1. Very centralized cat pee stain in the center cushion on my couch. (Wed Late Evening)
2. Discovered it and treated it with one heavy dose of Petastic the next morning. The pee was still wet. (Thursday Morn)
- Poured it on and let it soak in for the whole day and then placed a towel over it to soak it up.
- At the end of the day the couch was dry again but it still smelled like cat pee.
3. Second bigger dose applied - this time over half the giant bottle is gone. (Friday Morn)
- Let it soak into the couch cushion for another day, this time without using a towel to soak it up ...
*** ... DO NOT DO THAT because it leaves hideous dried rings around the edges of where the liquid was "working."
4. I had to go back in with small applications at the rings to remove them. (Saturday)
5. Things seems to be better - stain finally seemed to be gone, for the most part. Still had a ring or two to get at. (Sunday)
- Smell seemed to be gone ...
6. It's Friday again - 9 days after the initial accident and three treatments in and we noticed the couch cushion stinks again.
- Basically what I've noticed is Petastic just moved the cat pee to the outer edges of the pour. I'm on the 4th treatment and the
bottle is basically gone.

I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. I don't think it actually does work.

[@]An update: After doing all of the above - a month later and the cushion was ruined.

What I did to finally fix it (without the help of Pet-tastic) was:

1. remove the cushion zip cover and wash it in the washing machine.
2. use a spray bottle mixture of vinegar/lemon-grass oil/clove oil/pine tree oil/tea tree oil/water and sprayed the interior foam cushion up and down. I'd let it dry and then respray again. I did this at least five times.
3. Then I took the cushion outside to sit in the sun for 3 days to air out. In process, I sprayed it with my vinegar/essential oil/water mixture a few more times.

The cushion is finally odor free.

Not What I Expected

I didn't notice any difference after following the directions on the bottle. I left the product on overnight just to try to break down the dog smell in my son's room. I tried 2 applications with no change, even trying to rub in the liquid. I knew the cleaner didn't help when my puppy went back to the exact same spot the day after I thought my problem was solved. That is only spot in the house she chose to leave me a surprise. I ended up cleaning with a spray foam carpet cleaner for pets the next day with better results. *One additional note, the bottles were put inside plastic bags so when they leaked it was into a bag. I wish they had sealed the bottles in the bags though since some cleaner came out of the bags when I took the bags out of the box. I will keep looking for a great odor remover since I want to keep my dogs.

'Just ordered my second bottle of Petastic Stain and Odor Remover. When we picked up our puppy last November, we were given samples of several items and the Petastic was one of them.

It took us months to train "Biscuit," our toy poodle, and he's HOUSE trained because of grass burrs, sand fleas, and other dog-unfriendly critters that love the heat of sunny Florida. Ninety per cent of the time our super-pup goes to his 'potty pad' in the kitchen to do his business. NOW, that is!

He's has had plenty of 'spills' the past several months, and more than a few off-target poops. Immediate attention to cleaning the areas with Petastic is important and has successfully deterred return 'visits' to the same rug and tile areas. Odors? Gone!

(This product did not come up when in SEARCH I keyed in "remove pet urine odors and stains." It should have--Amazonians, take note!)

With four large dogs, someone is always getting carsick/throwing up or, on rare occasions, mistaking the back of my new Toyota Sequoia for the toilet. The odor from a new puppy having an "accident" was making me queasy, and I ordered this product not expecting too much relief. Despite it being about 10 degree's out in Maine, I applied the Petastic Stain and Odor remover as directed, and it did an excellent job of eliminating the smell. I am very happy, and am going to order more to have on hand!
