I'm not big on carrying a purse with me, unless I'm going out and need to have my makeup on hand. Otherwise, I usually just stick my money, debit card and ID in my pocket if I am going to be going into any stores, grab my keys and go. Unfortunately, this resulted in misplacing and/or losing my cards more times than I want to recollect. I needed a small, simple wallet that allowed me to safely keep up with those items. And now that I drive a car with push button start, I don't have to worry about how much weight I put on my keys, so this great little wallet with its handy-dandy key ring simplified my life by a lot. I keep it on my key ring with my keys, so now I only have one thing to keep up with, and I added a wristlet to it, to make it easier to keep up with in stores. I've also got a hook on it so I can clip it on to my belt loop for the days that I don't want it around my wrist. It holds all of my debit, credit and ID cards, along with several store cards, as well as my cash and some change (although I make sure to empty the change out regularly since it makes the wallet a little heavy). The ID card window is clear and easy to see your ID through, making it very easy to show your ID when necessary without having to pull it out. I am actually able to fit both my driver's license and my military ID in the inner pocket that backs the ID window, which helps to keep your IDs separate from the other items in your wallet. The pocket is tight enough to hold the ID(s) in place, but it is easy to reach in and pull them out as needed (I've had wallets that it took a pry bar and some grease to get the ID out of the ID slot!). The zipper zips securely - I haven't had any issue with the zipper coming undone and losing the items in my wallet. The fabric loop that attaches the key ring to the wallet is stitched very well into the wallet; I haven't had any problems with that coming loose at all. The only reason I am on my second one of these is because I wanted to change the look (and the other one had gotten a little dingy from going everywhere with me, ha!).
This is my go-to wallet, and I'm sure that I'll be replacing and updating it for a long time coming, as I get bored with the one I have and want to freshen things up.
**I purchased this Vera Bradley Zip ID Case at full retail price for personal use.**
I was amazed at all the colorful patterns this comes in. I thought I had settled on a pattern when I decided to actually look through all the choices. I'm so glad I did because I came upon this in the Midnight Blues and it really looks great. The stitching is perfect, the zipper works fine, and the tied ribbon and the silver pull is fabulous. It is so well made and the price is just right. I highly recommend this.
The case has two pockets, so I generally keep my I.D on the side with the little window, and then keep everything else safe on the other side. The sides are big enough for any standard I.D or credit card, and although I haven't tested how much capacity it has, it seems like this will stretch out quite a bit if I need it to. The little ring that it has to attach to lanyards is really stiff and hard to open, so I would suggest using a lanyard with a clip or ring that's easier to open (this is good though because it means it won't fall apart easily). Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a smaller alternative to a wallet.
