2 Problems:
+ The file transfer speed is SLOOOOOW!
+ At least half of the files are corrupted.
I'm using this with a over-the-air DVR that records video in the very large MTS format to a USB drive. I then transfer the videos off the USB stick to my computer, convert them to MP4s, and transfer them back to the stick.
I was using a smaller 64GB Verbatim USB 2.0 drive. That was doing the job very well, but wanted more available storage.
Because I'm recording over the air broadcasts, it didn't occur to me right away that the files were possibly corrupted during the recording process until I realized that the the same number of similarly sized files that took 10 minutes to transfer off the old drive were taking HOURS on the new stick.
Plus, for the first time, I was seeing my transcoder throwing error after error, leaving the resulting MP4s jumpy and with audio that was no where close to being synced to the video!
