If Verbatim wants to use my words of praise I give my permission without reservation! The delivery was right on time too!!! I adore this brand and would cry if they went away! You work ten hours on a disk, if it fails, you'd cry too!
I have NEVER had ANY problems with these dvds. They do EXACTLY what they are supposed to do. I will not purchase ANY other dvds as long as these are available. Also, if you want to buy more than 10 dvds at a time, the 30 pack spindles are definitely a better price.
As sometimes these dvds are hard to find, I have hopefully bought the amount that I will need for the next few years.
In my research, Amazon has the best price, especially when you buy them directly from Amazon and can take advantage of their free Prime 2 day shipping.
These DVD+RW discs, the first I have used from Verbatim, exhibit a much higher number of write errors than any DVD+RW disc I have used. My DVD software then times out on the write, the OS notes a write error, and I get a warning that the disc is unreadable/unwriteable. Cannot be reformatted or used in any way. The first three discs off the spindle blew up after a few writes. The fourth disc lasted about a month before it developed read errors.
Verbatim claims a warranty on their dics, but I doubt that many people take them up on that, as it's an enormous hassle. Better that the discs just work in the first place. These discs obviously don't.
Since storage media must be reliable, I won't be purchasing Verbatim DVD+RWs in the future.
The DVR won't allow me to put more than one movie on a DVD+ or a DVD- but I can put several on a Rewritable.
With lots of short clips of the family, I can put 10 of them on the DVD Rewritable and make copies instead of having to make 10 DVDs, one for each short clip, then make copies for each person that wants one.
And I can reuse them which saves more.
I have these finicky Funai (Magnavox branded) DVD Recorders which mass produce coasters from DVD+/-R discs.
I bought these to test before throwing them out, one unit likes the - discs and the others prefer + so you might want to try these if that's an issue for you as well.
I have about five or six passes on five discs and am yet to have a coaster.
On the PC side they also work like a charm but who uses DVD's on a PC anymore.
