This is one of the better Gnex cases available on the market. It's slim. I don't think you can find a case slimmer than this. It fits my Gnex (Verizon version) very well. It makes the phone look even better than without a case (while most other cases make it looks like a cheap plastic toy). And it's very nice to the touch. I also like that it has port caps. I carry the phone in the pocket mostly and it tends to collect lint in the open ports. No more lint with these caps.

It's hard to find a good case for Gnex that would match the phone quality. I bought several cases but I wasn't satisfied until I got this one.

I have had this case for somewhere around 4 months now. In my opinion, this is the best looking case out there for the LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus (there aren't many). But there are things I don't like about it. One, the price since you're paying a lot of money for a thin piece of plastic. Cases like these for other phones from other brands are usually around ten dollars cheaper.

The other thing I don't like is that it is not very durable and I don't mean in protecting the phone, since it should be understood that this case provides minimal protection for your phone. I have the Alpine White and the edges started yellowing after about a month. I'm thinking this was probably caused by slipping it in and out of my work pants (soft material) and my jacket pocket. Those things really shouldn't have had any effect on the case but I can't think of anything else that would have caused the yellowing.

Also, the case was initially almost impossible to get off of the phone. Now it is a lot easier but I'm guessing that is because of the cracks that have formed on the corners of the case from taking it on and off. The cracks are very noticeable so I am very dissapointed that that has happened, especially with such an expensive case that I am so careful with. This may have something to do with the fact that I use the Samsung 2100mAh battery with the back cover that goes with it; however, it even says on this page that the case is compatible with the extended battery. If the integrity of the product fails because of the extra few millimeters of thickness, I am not calling that compatible.

In summary, I really like the look of this case and I am glad that I bought it for that reason. Due to the few issues I have listed, however, I would not buy it again unless the price were to drop dramatically. I could use a new one since mine has noticeable wear and tear but I wouldn't buy it again at full price.

This is a great low-profile case, which offers limited protection for the phone. I've carried my phone naked and with the Otterbox Commuter. While the Commuter offers significantly more protection (thanks to its two-part construction), it was just too cumbersome for every day use. It was just a little too big going in and out of my pocket several times a day. And, since I didn't really need that degree of protection for my phone, I decided to give this case a try based on the reviews I read here.

When I initially installed this case, the phone was fitted with the extended battery and the extended battery cover. The case popped right on, but I could tell that there was a little bit of flex in it; it wasn't seated perfectly along the lower edge. I didn't like that too much, but luckily, since I had the same issue with my Otterbox Commuter I had already modified a standard battery cover to fit the extended battery using a guide I found on the internet (dremel tool required). So, I popped the case off, popped on my modified battery cover, and put the case back on. Perfect fit.

This case has a really nice matte black finish with a very smooth texture. There is a tiny ridge along the edge at the seam between the front and back elements which I don't like, but could probably be sanded down, or shaved off with an xacto knife. The back has a rectangular groove in the approximate location of the battery cover, and the case's name "RingkeSLIM" etched along the upper right, next to the camera cut out (nice touches). Speaking of the cut-outs, they are very precise: obviously, there is the camera/flash cutout which is perfectly matched to the oval on the nexus. Just above this, there's a tiny cut out for the rear microphone.

After researching for a few days, I decided to buy this case for my GSM gnex with the official Samsung extended battery and back plate. This case is marketed as the LTE version but it fits extremely well on the GSM version with the bulkier battery. There is no play or extra space. Just fits right. as a side note, it also fits on the GSM version without the extended battery. While waiting for the the extended battery to arrive, I got the Ringke Slim and put it on. To my surprise, it clicked on perfectly and stayed snuggly on the phone. There was obviously a little play between the phone and case, but it got me used to the size difference between the batteries and protected my phone in the mean time. I use this case with a ArmorSuit screen protector and am very happy with the protection. I carried a Droid X naked for 2 years and never had any problems, so I hate to put anything on the gnex but I know it has a bit of a history of being soft. Anyways, I enjoy the case and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little extra protection without any significant extra bulk
