I have to admit that I am a student of the author. That being said, I believe that the book covers the many facets of (de)conversion with breadth and depth. Barbour's strength is his humanity. While this book is certainly academic, it also allows for the emotional experience of religion. Anybody interested in conversion would learn a great deal from this book.
