I've had my vertagear for a few months now, and nothing has broken. This is the first chair I'be had that doesn't make any of my limbs go numb, make me feel uneasy, squished, or pained. I can lean back comfortably- there is a knob to control the tension as you lean back so it can be as loose or as tight as you want. You can also lock the chair if you only want to tilt back a certain amount or not at all. The back reclines like a seat in a car. The arm rest poles adjust in and out from the seat, then the arms themselves go up and down, forward and back, as well as slant in and out at various angles. And of course the whole chair goes up and down. It could go a bit lower for my taste, I have to use a foot rest for ergonomics.
The wheels roll exceptionally easily on carpet. I move this chair around my table on a nearly daily basis.
My main uses for this chair are: at computer, gaming, painting, knitting, watching movies, playing uke
Time spent in chair: 12-15 hrs per day on average
Weight of user: 360lbs

Vertagear had great customer service and i got a replacement seat shipped to me fairly quickly at no extra cost. Hopefully the seat i got was just defective and i wont encounter the issue again. For that reason im raising my review up to 5-star because i still love the chair and was pleased with how Vertagear handled my replacement.
Really liked the chair at first. Liked the material and seemed liked it was built very well. However after less then two months of use two small metal rods are working there way through the leather and are jabbing me in the legs. One of the rods just recently tore a hole completely through the leather while the other one hasn't broke through yet but seems close. I have included pictures so you can see where im talking about. It seems completely ridiculous that a chair that cost over $400 would have something like this happen within the first two months of moderate use. This seems like a huge design flaw and i dont understand why these rods would be there in the first place. I tried pulling one out but it seems rather long and like its connected to something further back in the chairs structure. i dont understand what the purpose of these rods are and how nobody noticed this would be a problem. For this reason i would avoid buying the chair until this defect is fixed unless you want to be jabbed in the back of the leg when sitting at your desk. If you look at the pictures one shows a close up of the rod sticking through, one shows where the rod on the other side of the chair is starting to break through, and one shows where this is happening on the chair.
The construction is super solid. If you are around 400 or less I have more than enough confidence the chair will last you quite a long time if you don't really want to use the tilt lock functionality. The head a lumbar pillow is excellent though I don't care much for how the lumbar connects and it makes it hard to adjust the height on. I feel like the elastic on it would wear considerably over time if you use it a lot and adjust it a lot.
I ended up giving the chair to my wife who is 5'9" 160 and it fit her perfectly except it's a bit too tall. She loves it. I ended up going with a DXRacer Boss series which fits perfectly for a man my width, weight, and height. MUCH more comfortable but you're going to pay for it.

If you are shorter than me this is probably not the chair for you. I have it at the lowest setting and it's about right when I don't tip it back. I have ordered a separate foot rest for when I tilt back. It has no problem holding my weight fully tipped back with my legs in the air. Zero concerns about tipping over.
The arms are fully adjustable up/down/forward/back/in/out and also rotate. One negative is that the width adjustment relative to the seat does not have a lot of travel. It comes already set at the widest setting and is only adjustable by loosening the hex cap screws with the included tool, so it's not something you're going to adjust often. I just barely fit between the arm rests at my weight, if I were any bigger I would have to take them off entirely. I wish that they would have built this so there was another inch or two of travel available to you. It sort of doesn't make sense for a chair meant for big and tall people to not go any wider than it is.
The seat cushion is a little stiff and first but breaks in fairly quickly.
The lumbar support is a real PITA and only has two elastic straps to hold it in place, but nothing to hook them to. This means they constantly slide off.
The minor negatives aside, I'm glad to have a sturdy, high quality chair that can hold me and I'm happy with my purchase. I will likely get a second chair to have at the office.
Calling support to speak to someone is pretty much impossible if you don't know a name and extension number.
I am now at a second message left on their site.
Hopefully, someone will eventually address my problem.
Other than that, the chair is very sturdy, but most chairs where you set the height, the gas cylinder does give a little bit of as cushion. Not the case here. when you choose the height, it's like if clamps on solid, with no play up or down.
EDIT: finally got lucky and someone opened a "chat" on their site. From that point, replacement parts were sent expediously, and I received them within a week or so.
There's not much else to say, really. Solid construction, high supportive back(with included lumbar cushion), easily adjustable and decently priced. If you're second guessing yourself, don't. You will not be disappointed!
I will say though, at 5'9" I have my chair at the lowest position, so this chair might not be great if you're shorter than that, and like to have your feet on the ground.
5 Stars, I love my new chair!
