I love how Angel sums it up. She watches Tom struggle, trying to do things with her that she enjoys, and so there are things he does that make her own compromises worthwhile. I don't think I've ever looked at my boyfriend and thought that he deserved anal because he made me dinner, but Angel does think that way. And she knows Tom sees it as a balance of trade offs, where he tries his best and hopes she will do the same.

Their sex play in Hawaii is balanced out by the much more intimidating scenes with Eliza. Tattoo'ing your sex is squeeze the thighs tightly together painful, but she's encouraging Tom to explore and test how his ink drawings on her skin will look while he puts his hand in her! Intense... and pretty crazy. Now whenever I see someone with a private tattoo I'm going to wonder if they checked how it would look during sex before committing to it!

Still enjoying Alyssa and Tom negotiating - and he's offering to take her someplace surreal with a latex puppy suit. Pushing the boundaries of what I'd think of as sexy. But it makes me wonder. What if you could just cover up, totally vanish into a full body suit, and then... well anything.

Love how Max makes me think! Maybe his fantasies are getting into my head.

Eliza might as well be set up and prepared for how she's going to be expected to play with big toys and open up. Her lingering self doubt make the story precious, but her encouragement to check how having her private parts tattoo'd will look with a fist inside of her make it clear that she's onboard with whatever her boyfriend wants. Definitely a sexy idea and I might want to try writing a bit on myself and see how my husband likes it. Though a tattoo would be way too much in real life for me! Sexy, very sexy, and wet spot inspiring.

There's a lot more back story about Angel in this book as well. It's interesting because the Angel stories are all out of order in the books, and now that I'm learning more about her when she first started dating Tom, I like her a lot more. Still she's not the sort of powerful woman I prefer in stories, but she's definitely more human. Very sexy take on anal sex and the compromises that go with it.
