It was well written and I would recommend it to other readers. She is a very good
The situation on Hente surrounding them is volatile due to the after effects of a horrible war 100 years before that left a huge section uninhabitable after nuclear explosions. The current governor of Eia is a corrupt, selfish creature whose minions have made life nearly unbearable, especially for the poor. Revolution is coming. This book contains some action particularly at the end, though that battle is not very thoroughly described and somewhat anticlimactic. The most exciting occurrence is when Rhori, armed only with a knife, must protect Aynu from a huge wild animal when are stranded alone in the woods.
Though I like the love story and have grown to love so many of the main characters of the series, I am extremely frustrated by the loose ends that have not been resolved. Some very evil people are still living and poised to cause continuing havoc across the solar system. I had hoped for more resolutions, though the situation on Hente now seems stable. That planetary peace is still threatened by the machinations of an extremely evil man. It almost seemed that the author ran out of interest in resolving the problems, though in this book near the end she revealed just how dangerous the character Horbell is, and the well placed followers he has involved in his machinations. I want to see him defeated. This novel should NOT be the end of the series.
The friendship/ attraction between Aynu andRhori develops nicely amidst some stumbling around on their parts. Which seems perfectly normal considering the restrictions that they faced. The "Goo" never stood a chance. You'll have to read the story because that is all I'm going to say about that.
I liked how the story ended although there will be violence. Let's face it, we're talking about evil and also some scenes of war. But it didn't feel like it was overdone either.
Everything gets taken care of in this book, evil overcome. Except I did notice that one person was not dealt with yet. I'm thinking that person MIGHT get their story in a different planet named story. I hope so. I didn't want one person to escape justice and it sounded like they had more plans for evil.
On a final note, what a great picture on this eBook cover. Those startling blue eyes really grab the attention.
