I loved reading Carters story. she definitely deserves love and she’s just as stubborn as Jamie. I liked the story telling. I definitely want to complete this series and dive into her newer books which is what made me want to read her beginning works as well. Very sweet story about Carter and Jamie, two very intelligent individuals who are very attracted to each other but knock heads. I couldn’t put the book down and didn’t want it to end. Love the build up and eventual romance between the two main characters. Jamie has a hard shell to break thru and her backstory is sad. Loved the interaction between Carter and friends/coworkers, too. A love story not to be missed.

This was my third book by the author after reading The Flaw in Our Design followed by Then & Now. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books and found Vesting Period to be a little lacking in depth in comparison. The dialogue/banter between both MCs were interesting; different. However, for me, there was something missing. Having read this book right off the back of Then & Now (where the connection between the MCs was deep), I found this to storyline a little flat. Not as emotionally engaging. It is an enjoyable light read, just not a chart topper.
