The 70P is a smaller portable compressor capable of inflating up to 225/65/R18 tires. Plug into your 15 ampere rated power port, connecting to a valve stem and turn the unit on. Tire pressure is monitored using the gauge mounted on top of the unit, by temporarily switching the unit off.

Portable Compressors for Tire Inflation
VIAIR 70P-90P Product Line
Our 12V portable compressors can be used by anyone who owns a car!
Since it is recommended to check, and maintain, your tire pressure monthly these compressors make it easy for you to do that without having to go to gas stations.
We recommend checking and inflating your tires before you start driving for the day, when the tires are cold, since heat will expand the tires.
Proper tire pressure is important because:
- Helps keep your tires lasting longer
- Better for gas mileage
- Overall makes for a better ride, keeping you safe on the road

Got bicycles and ride a lot? Set up one of these with an ATX computer power supply to convert the power over...sure beats spending $100-$300 on a garage compressor just for airing up tires!
I can't speak to longevity since I use it infrequently and have only used it a couple times so far. The connector is solid metal and tubing is thick, so I would guess it will last a long time.
The only thing I'd change is a better holder for the filling accessories. The ball filling needle bent at some point, but it's still usable, and very replaceable anyway.
I definitely recommend this model if you want a very solid basic compressor for the car.

Gauge could be a little better. It's off by 3-4 lbs.
