Just wow, this book really blew me away. I loved this book. This book had a great story line and enough steamy scenes to keep the reader wanting the more. I loved the relationship between Lola and James. I hated what James had to do at the hands of his sleazy hands of his boss and Eva. Lova is sweet and innocent and I loved that she was a women who knows how to use her brain. I loved that there was so much suspense when it came to the Eva issue, I kept wondering if and when she was going to do something to ruin James and Lola's friendship / relationship. I loved how the ending turned out no loose ends or anything. It was a great ending to a great story.
Anyways I loved this book and just wow I highly recommend you lovely readers check out this book. 5 of 5 stars!
But I definitely was excited about reading more about their friendship – their interactions, their strong connection!
Their story continues a while after the first book, Lola already graduated from college and started working in a lawyer’s office in Los Angeles – to be close to her best friend James. Their friendship is as solid as ever, both of them spending as much time as they can with one another, but neither of them had approached the other ever again with any move that could imply more than friendship.
James was more or less obliged into a contract with the lunatic dominatrix and director Eva Satana (oh-so fitting name!) to shoot ten scenes that are rather contradictory to his conscience and his attitude toward women. The things he has to do to his already broken co-star Stacey almost devastate him.
Of course Lola wants to help her best friend and realizes the best way to do it is to help Stacey. What is really awkward at first – meeting James’ “co-worker”, seeing what he did to her and all – slowly forms into a kind of friendship between the girls.
Unfortunately Eva finds out by chance about Lola’s virginity. Having only dollars in her eyes, she offers James a way out of the contract – if only he deflowers Lola and records it on tape for her to sell it to her morbid and disgusting customers. If he doesn't do it… she threatened to find a way to get her tape with Lola anyway – with or without him…
While James is fighting with his director, Lola is fighting the judgment of the people around them. Being only friends with a porn star… that surely cannot be, can it?
Will the two of them resolve it all together and finally find a way to act on their feelings to become more than just friends?
Oh, I love the way James and Lola interact with each other – does not matter if they do it as friends only or if they act on their feelings. Even only as friends they have an intimacy many love relationships don't have. James doing these little things for her as painting her toenails as if it was the most natural thing to do. Or Lola – seeing only the guy behind the famous porn star, fighting for him and not being affected what other people think of their relationship.
It is really unique and precious what these two have in each other!
CAPTURED definitely has more sexual tension and chemistry than the first book, as Lola is all grown up and an adult now. I liked REVEALED a lot, but this book is even better!
Will there be more of their story? I really hope so!
