Victor Electronic Mouse Trap
Say goodbye to unwanted mice with help from the Victor Electronic Mouse Trap. A convenient alternative to traditional snap traps, the Victor Electronic Mouse Trap kills mice within seconds using a high-voltage shock. The trap’s bait trough located along the back wall lures a mouse inside and onto the metal plates. Its advanced smart circuit technology senses the rodent and instantly delivers the shock for a quick, effective, and humane kill. The tunnel design and beveled columns hold the mouse in place, preventing escapes and ensuring a 100-percent kill rate.
The Electronic Mouse Trap kills one mouse per setting and up to 100 mice per set of four 'AA' batteries (not included). With each kill, the indicator light on top of the trap blinks green for up to seven days, and when the batteries run low and need replacing, the light will blink red. In addition to at-a-glance monitoring, the electronic mouse trap offers a hygienic, no-see, no-touch system. Simply flip the lid open and dump the mouse directly into the trash.

Simple to Bait and Use
The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap is easy-to-use. Start by inserting four 'AA' batteries into the battery compartment and replacing the cover. Then, using a Q-tip or toothpick (to avoid leaving your scent), add an enticing snack like peanut butter or chocolate in the bait trough located along the back wall of the trap. Place the mouse trap in areas of noticeable activity or lengthwise along the wall with the entrance side closest to the wall, since rodents typically like to travel along the edge of a room. Flip the switch to 'on', and it’s good to go—a green light will blink once and a short buzzing sound will be heard to indicate it is functioning properly.
Designed for indoor use only, the Victor Electronic Mouse Trap provides years of effective rodent control—perfect for attics, garages, basements, and sheds. Safe for use around children and pets when used as directed, the trap is poison and chemical free. The built-in safety switch automatically deactivates the trap whenever the lid is open, and a unique tunnel shape prevents children and pets from reaching into the trap.
How to: 7 Easy Steps
1. Remove battery cover.
2. Insert 4 'AA' batteries.
3. Replace battery cover.
4. Bait the trap.
5. Place the trap along the wall.
6. Flip the switch to 'on'.
7. Easily empty rodent into the trash.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2014Size: 1 PackVerified PurchaseUPDATE 6/25/15:
After ridding our house of the original problem, my husband and I left the trap where it was since it was enclosed and tucked out of the way. I was in the kitchen last night when somethign caught my eye. I look over to see the little green light flashing. I go to get my husband (way too squeamish to check the trap myself) and sure enough, it had caught another mouse.
We set that thing a year ago. We'd reset the trap after it killed a mouse and put peanut butter on there. After a full YEAR, the trap was still active and still effective. The peanut butter didn't even need to be replenished because the mouse never makes it to far enough to eat it. The absolute best part, however? We didn't even know we had a mouse this time. We never saw a single dropping anywhere.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Let me start by saying that I'm squeamish as hell and a total dork about things. I literally tried everything I could think of to avoid killing the mouse that was laying a zillion little presents on my kitchen counters and stove. Tried a humane trap that ended up being too big so he could slip out. Tried electronic repellants, peppermint, special sprays, nothing worked. Finally after several weeks, I bit the bullet and decided I'd have to kill the little b@stard.
The first day was uneventful and we didn't catch anything. The next morning, I had the lovely surprise of seeing the rodent race past me in the morning so then I knew where it lived. We moved the trap right outside of its hole. The following morning, I saw a little tail poking out of the trap. The green light didn't flash for some reason, but my husband confirmed we'd caught a mouse. He disposed of it then put it back outside of the hole. He didn't rebait it or anything and after another couple of days, I realized the green light was flashing. Sure enough we'd caught another mouse. This time he wiped the metal plates as he saw some urine. He didn't have to rebait it since the mice have yet to make it to eat any of the peanut butter.
I truly didn't want to kill the mice in my house, but I couldn't take cleaning up the droppings. Knowing it would traumatize me to see carnage, I knew there was no way i'd go for the traditional spring traps. Sticky traps are just cruel and I refused to use poison as it's also cruel and you never really know where the mouse will drop dead. It'd be too much for me to handle to stumble over a dead body in the middle of the kitchen or on my counter.
This trap gives me the peace of mind of trapping the mice, killing them swiftly, and keeping me from having to see the dead mouse. As far as I can tell, you don't see any trauma to the mouse, but I'm a dork and refuse to look at it once it's in the trap. I can go grab my husband and have him dispose of it without ever having to see the body.
Definitely worth the $20!
To anyone having issues, follow the suggestions listed in other reviews. I did and have had 0 issues.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2017Size: 1 PackVerified PurchaseI purchased this from Amazon Warehouse Deals. This worked great for about 3 days and killed 4 mice in 2 days (once I located it to a mouse hotspot). After that, when I went to add fresh peanut butter to the trap, the lid hinge broke, and I wasn't forcing the door open or closed. It just broke at the hinge. The door did close, though. But the trap wouldn't arm and display the short blink of the green LED to indicate it was ready. I checked the batteries with a battery tester that puts a small load on the AA battery and they were in almost new state of charge, so it wasn't drained batteries. And if it was, that would be a very short lifespan for them. (There was no peanut butter on the electronic plate either, since I used just a small amount.)
I sent it back for a refund. We also used this mechanical Victor trap beside the electronic one and it was just as successful, but not as humane (I will explain briefly below and also post my review under the appropriate item listing):
https://www.amazon.com/Victor-M160S-Clean-Kill-Mouse/dp/B012ED37DM/ref=sr_1_15
About their mechanical trap: The mechanical trap I linked to above had as successful a kill rate as the electronic trap, but it still working and it seems that they are more sturdily built. (You get three for $7.49 at the time of this review.) There were two times when I checked the trap and a mouse was caught but struggling to free itself. I had to press hard on the part that presses in on their spine at the "neck" of the mouse to finish it off before emptying it. That is not an issue with this electronic trap, however. Every one was completely dead when I opened the lid to remove the mouse it caught after seeing the blinking green LED which indicates it caught one mouse.
If you get this electronic trap, know ahead of time that you may need to clean it after a catch.
The electronic trap reviewed here looks like a great concept but like its more expensive big brother (according to reviewers of it), it seems to be shoddily made. The more expensive one can kill up to 3 mice before you need to empty it.

TonReviewed in the United Kingdom on April 11, 20155.0 out of 5 stars Two hits in two days after two months of waiting. Worth the wait!
Size: 1 PackVerified PurchaseI had my doubts whether this would work and although I set it up I had to use a peanut with some butter as I don't eat peanut butter. I had cleaned my shed earlier and found that the mice had been hoarding a lot of the bird food stored there. I found piles in wellington boots, folded wallpaper tables and places I never imagined they would put food. I did find one dead mouse spread out like a snow angel among a nest of peanuts so I needed a trap for any others around. They had nested in string in one of the drawers of a cabinet so this needed to stop.
Nothing happened for a couple of months but two days ago (April now) the light showed there was a mouse caught. It must have been quick as there was no sign of anguish for the mouse. It was easy to dispose of and I reset the trap with a hazel nut and some butter to stick it in place. Next day another mouse caught. I wasn't so sure of this one as the light was not as strong and I think I must replace my batteries. The tail sticking out the end of the box was confirmation that it was there and another one gone and the trap reset.
I alter the box position just a little each time but even after the length of time it had been down the box did it's job. My neighbour is complaining about mice ruining things in her garden and I've already recommended this to her.
It's a great success especially at a time when there are likely to be a lot of mice about. A great deterrent and well worth the money.
It's now June 16th 2015 and it is working really well as a further 3 mice have been trapped. You don't need peanut butter as I have trapped the mice with everything from sunflower hearts to almond flakes. If there is food there they just go for it. Easy to dispose of and no trouble to catch. The box is still working on the first batteries so it really is good value for money
eloiseReviewed in the United Kingdom on March 24, 20191.0 out of 5 stars This doesn’t seem to work....
Size: 1 PackVerified PurchaseI was really relieved to purchase this item thinking it would be very effective to rid our flat of mice. Unfortunately I have had this item for 5 months approximately and it has killed no mice. We were curious as to whether our product was faulty. When we turn t on the green light goes on briefly and then turns off— is this normal?
Going along the assumption that our item was not faulty. we have researched and placed multiple different types of bait and not only have no mice been killed but the bait has been taken from the inside of the trap by the mice. We have basically been feeding the mouse problem.
We though that perhaps this was a battery problem but have put multiple different batteries in.
I am really disappointed as our mouse problem has gotten much worse and demand a refund or an exchange

ChloéchokReviewed in France on October 5, 20161.0 out of 5 stars Aucune souris prise, mais l'appat disparait bien!
