I have wanted one of these for many years & finally took a chance on getting this since I have alot of cast iron skillets & know how wonderful cast iron holds up. I would recommend this press to anyone that loves to cook. It's the perfect size, has a nice gripping handle, & is the perfect weight! I plan to buy one for the grill & another for the camper! Also, this company had it delivered very fast. I am VERY pleased with this :-)

Nice, decently heavy press, good for a single large sandwich, or 3 to 4 slices of bacon. Good fit and finish throughout. Note that the pressing surface is cross hatched: I suppose this is to keep it in place, and that works fine with sandwiches, but seeing as it's cast iron, it does make it a bit more of a pain to clean well.

The quality and weight of the product is excellent. Works great on hamburgers, 2 min. per side and slow cook to desired medium rare. You should use the wood oil on the handle to keep it from drying out.

I use this guy to do sandwiches. It allowed me to skip the panini appliancey. It does not put 'lines' on anything but it is heavy enough to coerce heat to penetrate your sandwich. Makes great grilled cheese.

Two years ago I got pair of these as a gift that was purchased from Amazon. I’ve happily used them for burgers steaks, bacon, and melted sandwiches like Panini and grilled cheese. I’ve used them in cast iron cookware and on a grill and never had a problem. Meats and fish cook quicker and the old fashioned pressed sandwiches always come out perfect.

The weights are about 2 lbs and the iron is very well finished. The handles are effective – they can get very warm but never too hot to touch. Cleaning, when needed is easy – a good hot rinse and a few swipes with a kitchen brush is all that’s needed. They came pre-seasoned and so far I’ve never had to re-season them.

I recommend these Victoria presses. You may not always need a meat press or weight, but when you do these are the ones to use.

They werent as heavy as expected, but they do the job. A little large for the 10" cast iron skillet I own unless the meat in the pan is thick enough for it to raise the meat press over the side of the skillet, however works great on my griddle.

This is exactly what I wanted. I wish someone made a small holder so when cooking and you want to put this down you have a place where the bacon grease will go, not on the counter.
