Ladies, whether we realize it or not, we are facing a battle every day.
We face battles in our homes, in our relationships, and in our cluttered hearts and distracted minds. We want a Pinterest-worthy house, flawless skin, a picture-perfect marriage, envy-inducing Instagram feeds — oh, and total control over everything that will ever happen to us. And since for most of us this is just normal life, we forget that this “normal” is actually a battlefield. One where souls are won — or lost. Instead of arming ourselves with the right weapons, we respond to our frustrations and disappointments by slapping on an Instagram filter or grabbing an expensive latte.
We can do better than this. Victorious Secret: Everyday Battles and How to Win Them will show you how to put on your spiritual armor and face the fight every day. The stakes are high, and the enemy is strong, but the good news is: so are we. We are deeply loved by the Lord, and he gives us everything we need to face our everyday battles — if we're willing to receive what he has to offer.
Are you ready to finish off that latte and fight?

About the author

Laura Mary Phelps is a TJ Maxx addict, and a beloved daughter of God. Not in that order. Passionate about leading women to their true identity in Christ, she works at Walking With Purpose, a women's Catholic Bible study, as a Regional Area Coordinator/Blogger. When not staring at the dishes in the kitchen sink, or sitting in her filthy minivan, she enjoys speaking to groups about her faith, writing at her personal blog, www.lauramaryphelps.com, and eating bags of tortilla chips and jars of salsa until they are all gone and she deeply regrets it. A wife and mom of four living in CT, she enjoys drinking coffee, wearing slippers, and really hates the question, "What's for dinner?" So please. Don't ever ask her that. Because she doesn't know.

The book reads like a letter from your best girl friend. It's funny, self-deprecating, but it's also infused with the real information you need to hear because your friend cares about you and has to tell you the truth. This woman knows what you're going through. She knows it isn't easy. But she offers hope, solidarity, and some valuable actions that you can take to truly become the best person you're meant to be. I want to give a copy of this book to all the women in my life. It's that powerful.
Her storytelling, sprinkled with humor at her awareness of wanting to do it alone and failing, brings to the forefront what is needed in a married woman's world today.
Time for me to make dinner (which I enjoy by the way) and will contemplate the first chapter and look forward to reading and digesting each chapter (pun intended). It is a must read!
Laura Mary Phelps, you are an inspiration and bring joy to our suffering world. Thank you.
