This book is humorous, raw, and packed with truth. The author is real and I so appreciate that she's willing to lay bare some of her least flattering thoughts and experiences in order to reach out to the reader and show that she is not a perfect person writing this book to tell us how we should live. She's in the trenches too. Battling, struggling, failing, and trying again just like everyone else.
The book reads like a letter from your best girl friend. It's funny, self-deprecating, but it's also infused with the real information you need to hear because your friend cares about you and has to tell you the truth. This woman knows what you're going through. She knows it isn't easy. But she offers hope, solidarity, and some valuable actions that you can take to truly become the best person you're meant to be. I want to give a copy of this book to all the women in my life. It's that powerful.

Just received my backed-order book! Just finished reading the first chapter and couldn't put it down. In this book, Laura Mary Phelps challenges women, especially Moms, to look at everyday battles with the knowledge "You have a friend" by your side. Hint: it is not her.

Her storytelling,sprinkled with humor at her awareness of wanting to do it alone and failing, brings to the forefront what is needed in a married woman's world today.

Time for me to make dinner (which I enjoy by the way) and will contemplate the first chapter and look forward to reading and digesting each chapter (pun intended). It is a must read!
