I have been thinking about buying this for a long time - so glad I finally ordered it. It is well built. It is easy to clean. Be careful, the blades are sharp!
I made a big batch of veggie soup right after I received the chopper.
It worked so well - onions, celery, carrots, summer squash, zucchini, cabbage, tomatoes. I used the large dice blade & just made sure that everything was sized right to easily chop.
Today I plan to make egg salad.
Other things I plan to make - potato salad, diced ham & mushrooms for omelets, chopped salad.

I use this chopper every weekend, because I chop many vegetables to prepare my forthcoming lunches and dinners for the week. I cook
nutritarian recipes (meaning recipes from Dr. Joel Fuhrman's website and many cookbooks), and they are primarily made from vegetables, including hard vegetables like beets, carrots and onions. This has been a bit of a trial in the past for me, because I am very sensitive to onions, and don't really enjoy weeping as I chop vegetables with a very sharp knife -- for one thing, I fear for my fingers! This chopper has changed all of that. First, it is incredibly fast. If I cut off the ends of an onion, divide it in four, and remove the skin, all that is left to do is put the pieces in the chopper, and I'm done! One chopped onion! Carrots, beets, celery etc. are equally easy and fast. So is every other vegetable that I have tried. The chopper does a nice job with softer items like tomatoes too, as it is very sharp. Next time I make anything that calls for chopped fruit, I'll be using the chopper for that too. I'd add that there is plenty of storage capacity in the chopper base, and that it is the work of a few seconds to dump chopped items into pots or sauce pans. So I can easily go straight from chopping onions to carrots to cucumbers, or whatever, and hey presto! all my chopping is done!

Not only is the chopper very capable, no matter what it is chopping, but it is super easy to assemble and disassemble, meaning that cleaning it is really a simple chore. It is MUCH faster to use the chopper than my Cuisinart food processor, not least because cleaning it is so much easier. I also appreciate the ingenious way the chopper is designed so that I can easily slide it back into the box it came in, so that it is neatly out of sight when not in use!

I wish everything in my kitchen worked this smoothly and was as easy to clean and store.

Easy product to use

I ordered product after using similar product at my sisters. Product arrived quickly, but was not delivered in protective box, so was concerned about having a damaged product and I hate returning things. Fortunately, product was delivered without any damage. Washed and used the following day and it worked like a charm on the onion. When chopping carrots, it would not cut all the way through. Carrots became stuck 1/2 to 2/3 of way and could not get the top pressing mechanism to complete pushing the carrot through the smaller dicing blade by increasing pressure to push through.
This was solved by using one of my sharp paring knife and cutting as close to dicing blade as possible the uncut portion of carrot which didn’t go through. Afterwards, I was able to complete dicing my carrots. I found with more dense vegetables, they need to be precut into smaller pieces prior to using the smaller dicing blade.
Cleaning up was easy. Blade and pressing mechanism came out easily, brush cleaned excess caught in slicing blade and presser without issue. Placed in dishwasher and it cleaned up beautifully without any vegetable staining.
I will use this product more now than my kitchen knives that I love, to help making my salsa’s and everyday chopping needs. Loved so much, I bought more deluxe version for family member.

Absolutely love this slicer/chopper! Recently replaced my old mandolin slicer and am in love. Super easy to swap out between cutting plates and the little claw tools it comes with are handy for clean up. Awesome to have so many cutting and grating options that store together so compactly. My only complaint (and it doesn’t even warrant a lost star) is I wish the cutting plates had some kind of sleeve to keep them stored together while the larger components and used plates are in the dishwasher.. they’re SUPER sharp, which is great for cutting, but a little precarious sitting out on the counter during cleanup.

This is an incredible advance on another onion chopper I purchased which had a fundamental design flaw which meant it broke after relatively little use. It's almost impossible to imagine not using this and I am someone who actually enjoys chopping and preparing food such as onions. That's probably enough of the superlatives, go out and buy yourself one, you will never regret it.

I was skeptical at first about this product. I was thinking for the price, it should be doing more than just chopping. But it changed everything when I started using it. IT WAS REALLY HELPFUL when it comes to chopping my veggies for empanada. The blades are sharp! It was easy to use, easy to clean and really, it made all my cutting jobs a lot quicker! I wouldn't go back to chopping my veggies the way I was doing it before I found these!
The price may be a bit high but you are paying for the quality. Highly recommended. I use them often and it has become one of my BFF in the kitchen!
