Let's not kid ourselves here, these aren't high quality stands. What they are however, is a bargain. For $40 shipped, nothing else even comes close. I wouldn't recommend putting anything huge on them as the base isn't very large and when sitting on carpet at their maximum height, it's very easy to tip them over. For smaller bookshelves like the Micca MB42x's I've got on them however, they're perfect. The ability to tilt down at a 10 degree angle is great too. If you're looking for some cheap but highly adjustable stands for smaller speakers, look no further.

Was looking for inexpensive sturdy stands for rear computer speakers. Seemed this would fit the bill and received good reviews from others.
Pros: Seem sturdy not easily tipped over, able to conceal wires in poles (see cons for more) and inexpensive
Cons: Wire concealment is not very easily obtained! See pictures with comments - needed to puncture through thick plastic plug in bottom of pole in order to conceal wires. The plastic plug is not removable - I had to use a flat head screw driver and hammer and break the plastic away - otherwise this item is misleading in terms of the hidden wire. Only other gripe and this is probably more to do with the speaker design but the wire has to either be bent under the bottom of the speaker or the speakers have to sit on the edge of the stand not in the middle.
Overall, if you can deal with the thick plastic plug that has to be removed and your speaker wire is already centered under your speaker, I think you'll be pleased with this purchase.

Worked exactly as I expected. Hardware was loose in the box... but all there. Had a couple small scratches but turned those tward the wall and never see them. Had no trouble mounting speakers. Speakers are Sony bookshelf speakers... flat bottom, wires in back, weigh about 8 pounds. Held them up just fine. Didn't have to drill bottom out like the others. Hole was already open. Looks good and works great,

1) The base is small for my Energy RC 10 Speakers.
2) The rubber feet are not intact when i open the box.
3) The screw/Bolts are not equal size.
I ordered second pair after i worked with first one. So i suggest buying this product.
