I went from a 19" that was not HD to this and the difference is amazing. Wish I had switched sooner. Colors are very bright and clear.

This is a gorgeous display for my Macbook Pro (mid-2015) laptop. Text is amazingly sharp, just like my retina screen. It's very roomy so I can see lots of windows at once. Images are sharp and clear with amazing colors.

Some things I learned about setting this up for Macbook Pros:
* You'll need a mini displayport cable, which connects in your laptop's thunderbolt socket (it works there). You cannot use a thunderbolt cable with this display. I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ESM3DKA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
* An HDMI cable does work, but at lower refresh rates (30 vs. 60 for the mini displayport)
* When I first connected the display to my laptop nothing happened and I got "No signal detected" show on the display. What? But the answer is quite simple and easy to fix: On the display menu Find "Input select" and then select "Mini DP" the list. Boom--it works.

When the display first fired up everything was crazy tiny. To make it normal size, go to System Preferences/Displays. Then find the window for the display. Click on the "Display" tab. Select the "Scaled" button. Then you'll see various options for Larger text vs. More space. I picked 2560 x 1440 but you can pick what works for you.

Anyway, that's about it. Very nice display.

Love this monitor- solid build, great colors, 4K resolution! Didn't find a single bad pixel on the refurbished one I purchased. The menu controls take some getting used to, but not a major issue to me.

I couldn't really tell if it was any good because due to a quirky issue it caused my computer to not be able to boot. Go figure. After I connected it to the computer the Dell tower was unable to power up. I removed all other cables to test and this monitor was the cause. It may be a great monitor but my setup was unable to evaluate. I returned it smoothly and bought a Dell which worked well.

I love the monitor. I have owned many monitors - This is one of the best for software development. Excellent quality. Works well with both Windows and Macbook Pro.

I just want to say that ViewSonic really produces a good product. Few monitors come close to the quality and feel of this monitor. I bought it for my boss so he could connect his Macbook Pro with a single USB-C to USB-C Cable. Boy was I pissed when it did not worked as expected even though it said so in their website. It only charged the laptop but I had no video. I contacted their support team after digging their website for the form. The first response was that I needed a converter. I then pushed back and got the real answer. "Not all USB-C cables are created equal." It seems there are charging USB-C cables and Charging/Video/Audio/Transfer USB-C cables. The ones you need even sell as Thunderbolt 3 cables. The cable that I bought for the monitor and the one included with the mac are charge only cables. I looked for the correct one and found a Belkin USB-C to USB-C with a 4K logo on the box. It was 40% pricier than the charge only option of the cable but it worked! It charges the mac and delivers video to the monitor. It even sends signals to my USB keyboard connected to the monitor. So I now have a USB Hub in the monitor. I bought my cable at a mac store but this one (Belkin F2CD081bt1M USB-IF Certified USB-C to USB-C Thunderbolt 3 Cable, Compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1, 3-Foot) seems to be a correct option. If I only knew this from the beginning I would have sweateed a lot less.

I like it a lot but coming from the dell 3014 I miss the extra height. takes some getting used to the real small print...of course you can adjust for that if you want.

Fantastic monitor for photoediting but a noticeable amount of glow (supposedly this is different from light bleed since it's angle dependent) on the bottom corners of the monitor. For the price I'm pleased though.

Unless you want an excellent monitor. This is an amazing all around monitor, I really like it.

Gamers might complain about the pixel response time, no one else will notice it.

Wide viewing angle, holding color and brightness even when viewing at an extreme angle. When the screen is completely black there is a slight glow. I see no light bleed from the edges.

My one word description is, "Wow!" It's beautiful! Unlike other monitors I considered that had a thicker bezel (frame) around the screen, this one is tiny, the image goes to about a quarter inch from the edge. It bears no badge on the front which I really appreciate. I like the understated appearance.

The calibrated presets are very welcome! I can switch it to REC.709 when editing and the regular VP2468 Series profile for everything else.

Doesn't have speakers. Big deal, external speakers sound better anyway.

Lots of useful connections including a USB hub.

ViewSonic has been around for a long time, they know what they're doing. There may be better deals from lesser known manufacturers (they're probably made in the same plant anyway) but you can't go wrong with this one.

I'm very, very happy and well pleased. I HIGHLY recommend it!
