Here was the problem: SO MANY typos. Normally there are under 5 in a book. My mind skims over them and moves on in the story. It happens and I get that. Unfortunately, there were so many that I couldn't ignore. I began to get somewhat distracted by them. Then I began to get annoyed. What were all these typos doing in this great story? Why was I trying to figure out what word the writer meant to type instead of just having a good read?
I actually wondered if there was something wrong with the conversion to kindle format.
As far as the writer and the story itself goes: great and definitely a recommended read. The story was involved, a good size, an interesting tale, and I love viking romances.
To read, you have to be able to get past the typos. If you aren't prepared to do that, you might want to pass. Shame on whoever edited this book that they missed so many!
I think it is interesting how the Viking raiders come to raid another's land but he turns out to be the hero. I just love to learn what would be considered good and bad in other times and places and in this time it was very common for these kinds of things to happen. There is not a lot of historical facts in this story but it is a good fast paced adventure type historical romance.
If you like the kind of story that keeps your interest until the very end, then this is a must read. I can usually guess who done it pretty early on but this book kept me waiting until the very end with the different twists the book takes.
