About the Author

Koko Brown is the pseudonym for a quintessential romance junkie who read over two hundred Zebra Club historical novels the summer before her senior year in high school. Bitten by the writing bug at an early, she self-published and made a profit from a newspaper she distributed to her fourth grade classmates. Unfortunately, the school principal didn't appreciate the competition and put her out of business after one best-selling issue. Undaunted, Koko continued to write and read everything she could get her hands on. She honed her writing skills as a staff writer with her college newspaper and writing obituaries for the local newspaper. In 2006, Koko came up with the idea for her first erotic manuscript and the rest they say is history. While not writing, Koko loves to travel and shop in thrift stores.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book. Why three stars? Well it started off so well loved the comic book nerd premise. Loved when our heroine was transported to another place in time. BUT it felt like once the hero discovered that she was a woman....It was all about SEX SEX SEX and more SEX! Until I was like....ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!! Look I enjoy hot sex scenarios with a hot Viking just like any woman would. But it was overkill. That seemed to go on for like ten chapters!? That's a rough guess. I was so excited to get to chapter twenty three. I was like FINALLY!!! More story!!!!! Yeah!!!! Then almost at the end there is one time where the heroine is referred to as Celeste!? Wow really!? Did anyone else catch that? I like this author... man she can spin a tail! I will read other books by her. But I know I will skim through the pages if there is excessive sex. Yes sex adds to the story. But it shouldn't be what the story is all about. That can get boring real quick.

I loved this story. I read the original, A Viking In Time, and totally loved it. The Viking Wants Forever tops it. It was like reading a whole new book but better! I did tear up a little at the ending because I was so happy! Great read!

I almost put this one down, several times... It was a bumpy start. I really liked the premise of this story. I am a brown girl who grew up loving comics, a real comic nerd, so I wanted to give this one a try. The writing was confusing, the story at times, corny, and I for some reason, persisted. Maybe because it was a Saturday and I had nothing better to do? Or maybe because I actually liked Erik and wanted to see the relationship with Reese go somewhere? Either way, I think I had resigned myself to deleting this after Reese compared Erik's member to the Washington Monument... I am not kidding, it got that bad... I think I was rooting for Erik more than Reese, in fact I was. That's the only thing that kept me from deleting this, I wanted to see what happened with his character. After chapter 15, the writing got better, the story got better, the romantic scenes got better, and that's when I really started to believe in this story. It was like another story started and it became a very good read.

Reese Johnson is a modern African American woman and a comic book geek. Which puts her in a minority minority. She's also a very smart woman with little self esteem.
Eirik Sigierdson is a 15th century viking, dominant, self assured and masculine to the nth degree. I forgot smoking hot.
Loki the Norse god of mischief and deceit is all up in their mix for the crime of slights to his vanity.
For the crime of not believing in him Reese is deposited centuries back in time to steal from Eirik. For the offense of not giving Loki the praise to which he felt entitled Eirik will lose that which he treasures most.
By throwing these two vastly diverse people together what they treasure most changes drastically.
A wonderful read. I usually avoid historical romances like the plague but this book was great. This was my first time reading Ms. Brown. It will not be my last. Good read.

Reese is tired. Tired of working hard for a unappreciative boss, tired of her lack luster career and life. So who would of thought saying something would turn her world upside down. Transported back in time she now has the battle Vikings as a slave. Eirik is sexy, fighter ready and instantly drawn to Reese. As their relationship heats up Reese has to realize she's going to lose her heart and herself with the Viking that she's come to love.

Love transported back in time. Can Reese and Eirik make it work in the past or will Reese return back into the future without the Viking that she loves so much?

This just didn't do it for me. Maybe I'm old fashioned or need to place myself in this story to understand it better but it was just ridiculous to me how quickly she got over the fact that she was not only stuck in a different time & place but also how quickly she spread her legs for the viken. I love sex scenes as much as the next girl but come on now. I just couldn't do it.

So I gotta admit first... I'm a big fan of the plot wherein a woman gets transported somewhere and meet her one and only love there. This is why I love the FANTASYLAND series by KRISTEN ASHLEY and why I also love TRANSCENDENCE by SHAY SAVAGE. It's just one of those things that I really love reading about. Isn't that amazing? To discover a hidden world or another time?

I just had to say that for you to know where my enthusiasm is coming from.

Alrighty..

The story revolves around our heroine, Reese, who works for a comic book shop. She's witty, feisty, smart and artistic. There's just a downside to her personality at first. Let's just say that Reese lacked balls for a long time, then suddenly found them one day. She quit her job to start anew. However, Loki, the god of mischief had something else in mind. He sent Reese on a mission to steal something from a very formidable man in the past, Eirik Sigurdsson.

Eirik Sigurdsson sure is a powerful guy. He's strong and he has a reputation like that of a gladiator. He has conquered many places and is known to be an amazing warrior. It is known that he's a bastard son of the king, so there's some bitterness right there. What other people in his clan seemed to not know is that he also has a soft spot - especially when it comes to Reese. I love it that he fought for her. I love it that he treated her very nicely and he truly got attached.

This book is a mixture of action, mischief, drama, romance, hot moments and sweet ones too! That ending sure surprised me! I love it!!!
