"Action-packed, sexy, and fun! Asa's debut series is reminiscent of J.R. Ward-but with Vikings." - Ilona Andrews #1 New York Times bestselling author
"Bradley pens another incredible tale of Vikings and Valkyries. This amazing story is filled with action and passion from the first page until the last. The characters are strong, likable and kick some bad guy butt. With a plot that has history mixed in with the present, readers will devour this book. Another great entry from Bradley! 4.5 Stars, Top Pick!" - RT Book Reviews
"[A] highly entertaining paranormal Viking Warriors series... The romance is sizzling, the battle scenes top-notch, and the characters intriguing. Bradley provides sufficient background for those new to the series, although the story is compelling enough to send them to the first book while waiting for the next in the series." - Booklist
"An uncommon paranormal world, a fearless heroine and a hero who embraces his partner's fighting spirit make this story a page-turner." - BookPage
"Romance readers who could use more sword-wielding warrior heroines (i.e. all of us) will love the second book in Bradley's Viking Warriors series." - B&N Reads
"The author...understands Viking lore and these elements...bring something fresh to the paranormal genre. What I love most about this series is that the heroines have their own lives and...are not just arm candy for heroes on their own adventure/quest." - Night Owl Reviews, TOP PICK!

WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
Cover- I love this cover. You can see the female is a viking, she is badass and she means trouble. I love the colors and because the font is huge, it helps share the spotlight between the picture and the title.
Plot- OMG! I always say I'm a character reader, but in this particularly book the plot and world building kept me going and wanting more. Yes. So good! There are so many interesting sub plots here, that this is a MUST series. The mythological references were done superbly. This was an action-packed, fast-paced read.
Characters: Astrid is the perfect heroine. Really she is the perfect representation of a warrior. She is so strong and fierce and at the same time she is fragile because she has low self-esteem. She can't see how awesome she is. Luke is good also. So many secondary characters that I would love to know more that I must believe there are still lots to come.
Heat and Romance - This is a steamy read and the romance is spot-on. Their attraction was undeniable and their passion was hot. Also was really refreshing to read a book that the couple doesn't start making out in the middle of the action. Really, even though they were hot for each other everything happened at the right moment. I hate action movies and/or books that have the couple doing at the most dangerous moments of the plot.
Freshness - There is so much new here. The author knows her vikings and brings something extra from most that is out there.
Addictiveness - It's so full of action and sub-plots that you don't want to let go, you need to know what's coming.
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Characters - I had some mixed feeling about Luke. Not him as a lover, but him as a FBI agent. I mean, the entire representation of the FBI wasn't really great. He was not really worried about investigating things. He and the other agents were didn't seem really worried about finding a solution for the case.
Romance- I totally saw how they were meant to each other, but things went too easy for them. I mean, they both had pretty deep secrets and I expected more hurdles in the way of the relationship. They both accepted too easy.
You MAY read this book because you enjoy paranormal romance; you SHOULD read this book because you love a strong heroine; you MUST read this because you like vikings and want to be awe by this amazing mythological plot!!!
Sexual Content: Sensual
Language Content: None
Violent Content: Minimal
Immortal Vikings live among us. They have been sent by Odin and Freya to protect humans from the evil god Loki and his minions. These battle brothers and sisters live and fight together as they continue to seek out the evil ones sent by Loki and try to eradicate the evil ones from the planet.
Astrid Irisdotter is a Valkyrie who is on a mission for her queen. She needs to get the queen’s brother from a medical clinic outside of Denver and safely deliver him to the compound in Pine Rapids in time for the queen to marry the king. Astrid has been having issues with her berserker lately and she had to be physically stopped from harming a human. This has her in an unusual spot with the other Vikings and she feels like she’s on probation. She knows that getting the queen’s brother back safely is a way to feel redeemed. She’s determined not to mess it up.
Then she runs into Luke Holden by chance. At least she thinks it’s a chance meeting. He’s an undercover agent trying to expose genetic labs that he believes Astrid is involved in. His undercover persona is a nightclub owner who has shady dealings with ‘interesting’ people.
After everything goes sideways with Astrid’s mission, Luke finds her in a compromised position and saves her. But saving her and gaining her trust are two very opposite things. They are both hiding major secrets from each other, but Astrid’s berserker want to make Luke hers. Will these two ever trust each other enough to move forward? Or will they be in a crazy relationship limbo forever?
Both Astrid and Luke are Alphas so watching them battle for dominance is almost like a movie. Grab a bowl of popcorn and read on. Each one of them is fighting for good, but each of them thinks the other is fighting for evil. They clash at every turn, but the sexual attraction is so strong, they can’t keep away from each other.
I love, love, loved this story. Couldn’t put the book down and was so sad when I finished it. I see why Asa Maria Bradley is seen as a top up-and-coming author. She writes characters who are so real to the reader and actually had me looking for these immortal Vikings when I was out and about. I have already ordered her first book in this series and look forward to reading many more books from this new author. Keeper shelves everywhere are going to be making more room.
