So when we met Lana previously, she was sweet but also very innocent. And it seemed like she didn't really care about her hair, makeup or even clothes. But that's all changed. Lana went and gave herself a makeover, and she had a mission. Get Sawyer. You see, she had been crushing on him forever. And now Lana finally got Sawyer's attention! Yet, it wasn't all directed at her since Sawyer was still hung up on her cousin, Ash. I definitely felt her frustration and heart ache at times. But she was so relatable, even though I've never been in her shoes. She was down to earth, had a good heart and struggled with some family drama. So I was rooting for Lana to completely win Sawyer over.
Oh Sawyer. In The Vincent Boys, we saw good boy Sawyer. But that boy was now hidden away by heartache, so we got to see heartbroken Sawyer, drunk Sawyer, sexy Sayer, and make stupid choices Sawyer lol. While he annoyed me a time or few, since he was still hung up on Ashton, I still loved him. I understood that he was grieving the loss of someone who he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with. And it's not like she went away. She was with his brother. So while this made him somewhat tortured, he let out his inner bad boy. And that's kinda my favorite thing (tortured and bad boy). So Sawyer started reminding me an awful lot of Beau. He was possessive, jealous, direct and to the point with what he wanted and how he wanted it. He was sexy and seductive, and he physically reminded Lana how much he wanted her. I found the wakeboarding scene SO hot! Sawyer was so much more than I ever thought he could be!
While they had this strong sexual attraction between the two of them, they were also discovering many firsts. Which you must read about *grins hugely*! But the story also dealt with friendship, and I'm not just talking about Sawyer and Lana. I loved how Lana and Ash and also Sawyer and Beau worked on their friendships as the story progressed. So if you're looking for a fun summer read, then I can't recommend these two books enough! The storyline and characters were such a blast! And when I finished, I realized I definitely need to devour more of Abbi Glines' books!
Abbi Glines has finally released the much anticipated,The Vincent Brothers. I have been on Pins and Needles waiting on It to release. It did not disappoint! I (whispers) may have enjoyed it more then I enjoyed The Vincent Boys. The Vincent Brothers picks up 6 months after Sawyer and Ashton break up. If you have read the Vincent Boys you know that Sawyer and Ashton broke up since she fell in love with Beau.Ash's cousin Lana visits over the summer and Sawyer while at first has not pure intentions towards Lana He eventually realizes perhaps what he had with Ashton was not what he was supposed to have.
I truly loved getting to know Sawyer better..I LIKED that this was a new and improved Sawyer. In the Vincent Boys we really did not get to know Sawyer as well as Beau.Lana was great as well..she was a perfect fit for Sawyer.I liked that she knocked his socks off and didnt take any crap from him.Know what else I adored in this book? There was an Epilogue.I adore Epilogue's.It takes me to my happy place.Oh and Last but not least how awesome is the cover? It pops and is just gorg! I literally did not want to put my kindle down while reading.Finally..Abbi...please...I beg you..Keep writing..I need more of your books.
The Vincent Brothers continues on 6 months after The Vincent Boys. Sawyer is still devastated, and angry and hurt by the betrayal of his girlfriend Ash, who fell head of heels in love with Beau, who he found out is no longer his cousin, but his brother. He could no longer watch there constant public display of affection and it gutted him to no avail. He's life was ruined, and he blamed them. Then in walks in Lana, Ash's cousin. But Lana isn't the same skinny red haired that played with them when they were young. Practically, overnight, she blossomed into this vivacious, beautiful and HOT young woman who was out for one thing that summer, and that was to try and win Sawyer's heart. You see, all her life she secretly loved and wanted Sawyer for herself. And now was her chance, since Ash decided she rather Beau the bad Vincent boy (who still is so bad to me even though he had been tamed).
Anyways, Sawyer was totally taken aback by Lana's transformation and he couldn't help but feel attracted and drawn to her, and this is where all the fun started with Sawyers new bad self. Oh my word. The way he would whisper in her ear, or try and lace his fingers through hers, or just touch her in such a tender and passionate way totally drive Lana and myself insane. Lana was running a fever that Sawyer created and he did not want to stop. And just when you think that things are going great for them, Sawyer runs off to be there for Ash, whenever she needs him to be. Thus tearing a whole in Lana's heart, again and again and again. Man did I get frustrated. I wanted to smack him, and Ash and Beau over the head. I felt so sorry for Lana because she was suffering for their drama. But you couldn't have a story about The Vincent Boys/Brothers without the drama, and the heat, and the love, and the passion, and the lust, and the sensual and tender moments. I loved it! I love this whole series and am so happy with the ending. Love, love, love Sawyer and Lana, and Ash and Beau, you saucy devil you RAWR! I highly recommend everyone to read this book, especially if you loved The Vincent Boys and love Abbi Glines like I do!

Sawyer wasn't at all what I expected, but in a good way. From the first book I got a saint-like image of him, so I was unsure of how this story was...Read more
