Baseball Nostalgia for a Bargain

These are the cards I recall riding my bike to the corner Stop-N-Go to purchase. Bright colored, faintly waxy wraps promising interior cards that could be the best rookie card ever.

Purchased this set for a baseball themed package I was putting together. They did not disappoint. Originals, all "vintage" (think 1980s and 1990s), and name brand. The colors were bold, vibrant, true to form. They attracted those of us who also rode their bikes to the corner store to purchase their weekly pack of baseball cards.

While I did not open the packs, the winner of our baseball basket was THRILLED!

OK for someone wanting to get a jump start on collecting. There was nothing special about the lot I was sent - one pack from 1989 and the rest from 1990 or 1991. There also was not 100 cards - if you are going to advertise 100 cards, then I expect that total. My collection came with 7 packs of varying numbers of cards which, in my case, totaled 94. And five of those were Topps sticker cards from 1989. I did not come across anything of great value, and for the price, I didn't truly expect to, but I was hopeful of a nice rookie card or two - maybe the good cards were in the six I didn't receive.

I ordered them EACH a set...as I know NOTHING about BB cards and they have collected cards for years...they thought these VINTAGE cards were AWESOME!!! and yes they even tried the nasty gum but spit it out after it crumbled and they said it tasted gross lol.. but I am glad I got these for them!!

Building collections but not burning your wallet

I like buying these groups of packs since they are a simple way to help bulk up my collection. Since the card companies jacked up their card production in the 80s and 90s there is plenty out there so collectors and especially beginners can start or expand a collection without busting a budget.
