About the Author

Lisa Suzanne started handwriting her books on yellow legal pads after she took a creative writing class in high school. She still has those legal pads full of stories, but now one of them is published under the title How He Really Feels. She currently works as a full time high school English teacher, and her favorite part of the year is summer. She has been blessed with the world’s best dog, a supportive family, and a husband who encouraged her to publish after reading one of her novels. She likes the advice of Ernest Hemingway’s famous quote, “Write drunk. Edit sober.”

First, let me say this cover is EVERYTHING *twerks* Secondly, if this cover doesn't make you one click then this one line in the blurb will...
"We were meant to cross paths, but it wasn't because of fate."

Ummm *clears throat* EXCUSE ME?!!

Lisa Suzanne takes you on a road of self discovery, hidden truths, and exposed secrets as she throws us head first into a conundrum of reality. This novel is a mystery, a brain teaser that will leave you in a state of puzzlement. But the worst part... the worst part is you will not care!!! Even when you hit the last page and realize it's over for now. Nothing will matter, because the only thing you will be able to care about is when does Vintage Vol 2 release and when will we get our eyes on that cover!!!

Our leading lady has quite a few monikers, but one sticks out to me the most. Jimi. That name alone, holds a big significance that doesn't go unnoticed. I loved the meaning behind the nickname and how it came about. I loved the moments the main characters shared throughout this novel. The moments when they could be surrounded by people but only see each other. The moments that were truly theirs. Those moments made my heart palpitate and my stomach flutter.

Jimi is existing, not living at all having suffered the loss of two people. She's completely void of emotion and closed off. That is until she hits PLAY and listens to the music of the band who will be signing at Vintage, the record store where she works. She sees past the leading vocals, and hears the backup sounds, but not only that. For the first time in one year, she feels. She feels the words of the song. The words of the song that none other than Parker has written.

"Parker was emotion. Bright, light, white emotion.

Vintage is a great book. Roxy boyfriend, Damien, left one day with just leaving her a note. He's been gone for a while but she is still struggling with moving on. She works at Vintage. Her father is a famous rock star. She has money but still chooses to work. Roxy is a great character. She is witty and a little guarded.

She's not looking for a relationship or even a guy but they super sexy Parker walks into Vintage. Parker is an up and coming rock star. There is instant attraction. Parker is very intense and goes after what he wants. There relationship has lots of ups and downs.

There is also mystery going on in this book. It seems like everyone is keeping secrets from Roxy. Some of those secrets directly affect Roxy.

It's volume one so yes it has a cliffhanger. There are still lot of things that have not been resolved and there is a question asked at the end of the book and we have to wait tot volume two to get the answer. I can't wait to read the next one, I have to know what happens.

This is my first Lisa Suzanne book I received for an honest review. My first thoughts are Wow what a ride.
Our heroine CC/Jimi/Roxanna is the daughter of a rock star, always watching her back to make sure she is not being used for her connections. She's a very strong woman who has been hurt in the past.
Our hero, Parker James is a newbie Rock star who has an electric connection to Jimi. He's a deep dark dreamy rock star.
Vintage Volume 1 takes us through a ride with several unexpected twist that add up to a great start to this series. With love, hate, danger, betrayal, and much, much more it's a true page Turner.
My only dislike of th we book is the sex scenes did not flow for me. It was more like reading cliff notes then experiencing the passion experienced between Parker and Jimi.
I'm very much looking forward to volume 2 and seeing what happens next with this couple

The blurb for this book intrigued me and since I’ve never read anything from this author before, I was all in. Unfortunately it just didn’t live up to my expectations. I liked the story itself, it has a lot of potential but the execution and the characters were just off for me.

Roxanna, who also goes by “Roxy”, “CC” and “Jimi” in this story, is the daughter of a rock star. She’s very vulnerable where her dad is concerned and is always suspicious of the motives of others because of it. She always suspects that they just want to use her to get to her dad and that’s understandable, he’s a rich musician after all. I just didn’t really care for her. She’s a weak person and just seems mopey. In my opinion, she just needs to get out of her own head. There is so much inner monologue because she is constantly going over pretty much the same things, over and over again in her head. It just made the book drag for me.

I liked Parker but the aura of suspense that the author writes into the story had me doubting him for much of the story. He’s got himself between a rock and a hard place when it comes to Roxanna. I don’t want to give spoilers so I’ll just say that it’s going to take some work on his part to make it right but his heart is in the right place.

As far as Roxanna and Parker together, it didn’t even seem like they were even in a relationship for most of the book. Roxanna spent so much of the time waffling between wanting Parker, needing to stay away from Parker, hating Parker, refusing to ask the questions she wanted to ask because she didn’t think she had the right, etc. In her own words, “I just had to figure out how to stop getting in my own way.” I just didn’t feel the relationship in this one.
