The slippers also have a flexible plastic bottom so I can wear them outside to check the mail. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm not a huge fan of the styling. I kind of feel like I'm wearing my grandma's house shoes. It's worth it, but I would have liked something a little cuter.
**Edit: 3 months later and I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. I don't care what they look like. I want to wear them all the time they feel so good. Great slippers.
**Edit: It's 4 years later and I still have these. They're pretty worn out, but still structurally sound. I don't wear them much any more because... my plantar fasciitis is gone! They were a lifesaver in making it so I could get around my house when the pain was at its worst. There were days I thought I'd end up with a walker or a wheelchair, but I'm better now. Tip - If you frequently sit in a recliner with your feet hanging off the edge or toes pointed - think about changing the way you sit. Making that one adjustment changed my life.
I'm back here today getting a pair of these slippers for my mom for her birthday.
Best of luck to all of you with your foot pain!
Update 8/18/11: Dropped my rating from 4 stars to 2. I still think they're comfortable and good for my feet, but the velcro has come unstitched from one of the slippers and I've only had them for a little over a month. When they cost $60, that shouldn't happen.
