These shoes fit perfectly and have relieved allot of my foot pain, I've been pleasantly surprised at the difference.
I wore them for the first time today, walking my dogs, and I am very happy with the fit and comfort of these shoes.
I've been wearing these for about ten days and like them very much for walking, housework and exercise.

This is my first purchase of a walking shoe from Vionic/Orthaheel. I own 3 pairs of sandals and love them. They arrived a few minutes ago and I tried them on and they fit like a glove. I usually wear an 8 in a sandal and after reading reviews on the Zen Walker and other walking shoes from Vionic/Orthaheel, I decided to order an 8 1/2. They're perfect. I suggest ordering a half size up if you don't want your toes to touch the end of the shoe.

I like orthopedic shoes without that look so I decided to give these a try. I put them on and there was no moment where I was immediately wowed by indulgent relief or wild comfort. However, these shoes are designed to correct over pronation which I definitely have. My feet hurt and my legs pitch in an unnatural way. I lose the shoes normally as soon as I get in the house.
I wasn't aware of these shoes being on. Should have been my tipoff that they were pretty good, but it wasn't until I was ready to go to bed that I realized I had these on for 9-10 hours. They were really comfortable. I was walking very straight; no pitching and my feet weren't rolling outward. This was proof to me that these were good shoes since I didn't know I still was wearing them.
I wore these for over a month and then bought a second pair in the same size except a different color. From my perspective, every bit as good as the Birkenstocks I normally wear.
These are very nice shoes that feel good, and are especially good for correcting overpronators.

If your going to do alot of walking like I do working for Amazon, you need these shoes. They are the most expensive pair of shoes I own but if your putting in some miles you need good shoes. I've read in several places that for this brand of shoe you should order a half size bigger. I did and am grateful. I have flat feet and changed between this shoe and my old pair to get my feet use to this pair. Best money my ex-husband ever spent on me.

The shoes are true to size and very nice. I was able to wear them the first day and they were very comfortable, as I do a lot of walking throughout the day. I also walk for my lunch break. I found that they were very thin when walking on rough surfaces or rocky areas. So I will change shoes when walking outside. Still very nice and supportive on tile floors or smooth surfaces.

I purchased a half size larger based on prior reviews - but had to return them for a smaller size. The larger pair slid on my heel. Now that I have the smaller size they seem to provide good support for my feet. Due to extremely high arches and bone spurs, I had almost resigned myself to progressing into a cripple as I grew older. Now with the Vionic slippers and these walking shoes, I'm able to move normally again. Am definitely looking to getting additional Vionic shoes for summer.

As a 30 year old who prefers fashion shoes to sports sneakers, this was a tough sell. I've been in a 2 year battle with plantar fasciitis in my left foot due to that aforementioned love for fashion, and these were sort of my "I give up" shoes after spending big bucks on a pair of Birkenstocks and a couple other pairs of shoes I had to return to the department store.

    Appropriateness for Plantar Fasciitis
While I haven't had my foot doctor inspect these yet, by most of the PF shoe standards I've read about, these shoes do seem to fit the requirements for a good plantar fasciitis shoe. It has an inflexible sole, decent heel cushion and arch support and a minimally bendy, wider (though not round) toe. I would recommend taking them to your doctor and having her look them over before you wear them outside, just to be sure.

    Style
Let's be honest, while much better than they used to be, these still kinda look like orthopedic shoes. Yes, they added dayglo green and silver to the hospital matte gray in a feeble attempt to appeal to a younger audience, but the solid orthopedic leather kind of defeats any attempt at stylishness. I switched the gray shoelaces out for aqua, which helps a little, but I always feel a bit dopey wearing these in public (but that's probably just me).

    Comfort
I wear these mainly for the 2-4 mile walks I like to take around my paved neighborhood. Because I am wearing my own inserts, I can't give an unbiased review of how the shoes feel without them, but I can say that they do fit half inch inserts well with plenty of room left over. I've removed the factory inserts and put in a $75 pair my doctor gave me as well as some $6 Dr. Scholl's, and it does seem to minimize the pain.
