I am an above average player, and have owned several boards in my life. Heals quickly, and the staple-free bullseye really DOES minimize bounce-outs.

Included darts are perfect for those starting out, or as extras for guests when you dont want to ruin your good set. I might suggest purchasing a set or two of aluminum shafts though.

Make sure that you have adequate anchorage, this board is HEAVY. If you are mounting it in-house.. say... in a basement, you will likely be facing drywall, and you MUST mount it on a stud. Out in my garage, the walls are plywood, and I was able to mount directly in a spot with no stud using the included bracket and screws.

Will update if my opinion changes.

This board is a very good bargain for the money. It suits my recreational needs well. I will try to address some of the questions/issues others have raised. Self healing: much better than my old cheaper board but yes after hundreds of hits some holes are showing. Wire/spider: It is round and normal size. I have way fewer bounce out than with my old board and am fine with how it works. If you need to have next to none, pay twice as much and get the triangle wire board. Can't read the numbers: all the higher end boards are like this and you learn them very fast. Being able to spin the board is great and well worth the lack of clarity. Hanging instructions: There are none but a quick internet search gave them to me, no big deal. Cheap darts: REALLY? The board costs $22 and it is good quality. They throw in two sets and what do you expect. Acceptable recreational darts start at $15 and competitive darts start at $50. These darts are fine for when people who don't know what they are doing want to throw. They protect my good darts. Bottom line: this is a very good deal for under $25. If you want a good home board this is it. If you are in highly competitive leagues and want more, pay the $50 and don't whine about this board.

Good quality board, comes with a set of six darts, has withstood several days of heavy playing well. Occasional bounce-outs, but only when the darts hit the wire dividers just right. Would recommend that new players, like myself, hang the board on a piece of Homasote board, to catch the darts when you miss.

I have mine setup in my garage and we play almost every night. I thought bounce outs were normal but after having so many happen I really needed a change. What's even worse is this board seems to have more bounce outs on the bullseye than anything else. Not to mention after the steel tip dart bounces out it continues on it's warpath of destruction to take a dent out on my concrete floor. My darts have become dull and after purchasing new dart of better quality these bounce-outs are not exactly what you're looking for on $30+ set of darts.

A friend had purchased the Winmau Blade 4 after getting into the dart throwing game and that board is a dream. It cost a little bit more but it is by far worth the money. I have just purchased a Blade 4 to replace the shot king.

Again, this isn't a bad board but you'll get 8-10 bounce outs in a 30 minute throwing session which is basically unacceptable. Especially after buying lighter darts "which I like" they tend to not stay in very well and just fall out sometimes.

Playing on my friends Winmau 4 you're lucky to get one bounce out in a hour of play.

Treat yourself and treat your floors, Buy the Winmau Blade 4, do not settle for the shot king if you are trying to be serious.

I throw darts an average of an hour a day, give or take. I really enjoy it and have found it's a great stress reducer as well as keeping my hand-eye coordination skills honed now that my running and jumping days are behind me. An hour may not sound like a long time, but when you're just throwing darts, 3 at a time, that actually is a lot of throwing and will tear up a cheap board in a matter of just a couple of weeks. It takes, on average, 10 seconds to throw 3 darts, walk up and get them, go back to the line and throw again. Call it 12 seconds, and that's still 15 darts/minute or 900/hour. You put 900 holes a day in a paper board and it will look like the picture attached in no time flat.

I've bought 2 of these now and they are an EXCEPTIONAL value! If you like to throw darts for more than 5 minutes at a time, more than once a month, then you need 2 things in a dartboard. First, you need a fiber, not paper, dartboard. A fiber dartboard (like this one) has fiber bristles pressed together to create the board allowing the dart to slide between bristles as it lands. A rolled paper dart board just ends up with chunks out of the paper as the darts tear it up. Second, you need a removable number ring, which this also has. If you throw regularly, you throw for certain numbers and areas of the board 3 or 4 times more than any other. Eventually, this leaves the board pretty chewed up in those particular areas, but the rest of it pretty clean. With the removable ring, you can turn the board until you have a nice clean throwing surface in the area you desire, then reattach the ring and all your numbers are all correct and you get FAR, FAR more life out of your board.
