The unbelievably attractive Prince Ballasare Stephen Demande has until the age of 30 to marry to obtain his crown. He invites 300 ladies to participate in a competition in his country.
Jessica Quincy is an American who is a blogger. A blogger that has updated her status.
Both The Prince and Jessica aren't completely upfront about their situations but I think that allowed them to really get to know each other so the end result is they can overlook how they came to be together.
I love Jessica's attitude and personality. She speaks without thinking and doesn't put up with crap from anyone including the King. She's witty in some of the situations she is in. I think the Prince is drawn to her because she's 'real' and not putting up a front to impress him or others.
I just want say I really enjoyed this book from the beginning and am super excited for the rest of the series!
Most of the women come from the elite of the world's social circles, wealthy, beautiful, confident. Then there is Jessica Quincy. She is a mathematical prodigy, but socially a disaster. Not to long ago she decided to blog abut her virgin lifestyle and it's trials. She tends to just blurt out whatever she is thinking. So, socially she just doesn't fit in with the rest of the elite at this contest. She never fit in at school either, constantly being advanced until she had little in common with her academic peers.
A series of tests are given the candidates and soon Jessica becomes suspicious when of 300 women only 100 or so remain. What happened to them. Ballasare has his hands fully occupied trying to woo this charming American, so unlike her staid European and Asian counterparts. Of curse he prevails, but it is the getting there that makes this such a fun read and escape from daily life. ENJOY!
This book shows me that love can be found with any kind of background.
This story was amazing with all kind of emotions and energy to keep the pages turning.
Can't wait to read the next one!!
Great job Ruth Cardello!!
