Abby Hart lives a fairy tale life writing a blog about her perfect fiancé, she is the best relationship blogger around, but it all is a dream you see her life growing up was not what she tells everyone and there is no fiancé. When she is invited to a huge ball for charity with her fiancé she needs to think fast or she may lose her job. Her best friend’s brother Luke comes to mind will he help her out?
Luke Shelverton is a business man first and foremost he has been engaged before and that didn’t work out so for the last five years he has not dated and not had any type of social like, so when Abby asks him to help her out and be that perfect fiancé the answer is no, but Abby is very convincing and so he becomes Mr Perfect for one night only but that leads to more and Luke is melting bit by bit.
Abby is just so easy to talk to she is positive and happy and she gets to Luke and they open up and tell each other secrets that no one else knows about, you can feel the emotions flowing from the pages as they fall for each other, their very sensual fling with light up the city, but above all else I was left smiling and feeling very happy as these two became one, I loved Luke such a fabulous hero he had me sighing. Thank you MS Milburne for another keeper, such a great story.
Abby Hart has a weekly blog and a column and in there talked about Mr. Perfect. Her fiance that she has talked about which happens to be entirely fictional. But no one knew she did not have one. She had been making this up all along. Now she had to find someone to take her to the very prestigious charity ball and everyone would be expecting her there with her fiance, now who could she get to fill the perfect man position.
The brother to her best friend, Ella Shelverton, would fit the bill perfectly if she could convince him to go with her. Luke Shelverton was engaged at one point but the day he broke up with his fiance was the day she died.
For all the writing about love and romance and so much more it is hard to think of Abby as being innocent. In her mind she had created that perfect man, that perfect romance and that perfect love.
Luke agrees to it and later agrees to a perfect fling that was to last a week with Abby. How will that end and why does Luke want no photos take with Abby and tries to keep out of the limelight.
Will Abby at some point get under his skin and that he will become her “Mr. Perfect”?
Abby Hart is desperate! If she doesn't find a date to take along as her so-called-fiancee "Mr. Perfect", she can kiss her job as an advice columnist goodbye! She's been invited to the ball of the year who only the most prestigious get invited to, so there's no turning this down ... but who will agree to be madly in love with her, just for the night?
Luke Shelverton says no way when his little sister's best friend comes sweet talking him with his favorite baked goods asking for a favor. He wants no part of going to a high society event and pretending to be her fiancee ... but he lets her tale of woe get to him and agrees to do her this favor ... begrudgingly! How is he to know that spending a little time with Abby is all that it takes to have her under his skin and in his mind all the time.
