Virginia Russell wrote Stand Out! A Woman's Guide to Creating Your Personal Brand for Today's Job Market after many years of coaching women who were seeking more fulfilling jobs, in the midst of career transition, or entering the workforce for the first time. She also coaches women at various corporations on their Leadership, Communications, Interpersonal, Emotional Intelligence, Political Savvy, Team-building, and Professional Presence skills, which are critical to the success of women in the workplace today. She designed the "7 Critical Relationships That Make or Break a Woman's Career™" training and coaching program for women seeking advancement, as well as those who want to manage their jobs or careers more effectively.
Her knowledge of coaching women on what it takes to stand out came early and first hand, having been raised in a home for children in Buffalo, New York with over 200 other children, where it was difficult to stand out. This experience motivated her to pursue a career helping other women benefit from what she learned to achieve their goals. Ms. Russell gives the reader tried, tested and true advice from her own as well as other women's career experiences.
