Online networking, video conferencing, file sharing, collaborative work websites, email and other technological advances now enable employees to work from remote locations instead of commuting to offices where supervisors await. Human resources expert Kevin Sheridan details numerous best practices for managing remote, virtual employees. Most of his ideas reflect his deep expertise and prove sensible and actionable. getAbstract recommends many of Sheridan's concepts and his approach to managing virtual workers. This book gives great insight on how to take management best practices and make them work for employees you don't see in-person every day. So many people are working from home nowadays that the old rules for managing people are outdated. Employees want more freedom, but managers still need to make sure they are doing a good job. This book shows people how companies can have the best of both worlds.

Could be a good book if written 15 years ago, authoris still convincing you of the idea, while nobody would by such a title unless he is already convinced. If you compare it to 4 hour workweek for example when its out, we should take this author to court for wasting our time and money.
