About the author

Cynthia B. Astle was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and migrated to Florida with her family in the mid-1950s. Her life's work was shaped by her gifts as a wordsmith -- she learned to read at age 3 and published her first work at age 10 -- and by her lifelong spiritual quest. She has had an award-winning international career in publishing, writing and editing newspapers, magazines and books for more than four decades. She entered early into the digital publishing revolution and has produced three print books on faith-related themes. Her latest book, "SweetWise: A Spirit-Mind-Body Memoir to Help People with Type 2 Diabetes Live Well," is her first foray into ebooks on the Kindle platform. She resides in Dallas, TX, with her husband John Astle and their mixed-breed Border Collie, Sheena the Wonder Dog.
