GREAT Companion book to another FLW book

I purchased this recently, used, at a very reasonable price and I feel this is one of the best purchases made in a long time! I guess I did not realize the book had 400+ pages when I ordered it, but it is a quite large volume. I also own Storrer's FLW Companion book, which my revision is older and shows all his buildings in black and white. This book, The Vision of FLW, is most all color photos so you put the Vision with the Companion and you have the two best books available. Great reference book - I have been using the addresses out of the Companion book (Storrer) which makes it nice when traveling. I cannot recommend this book enough - it is with my Storrer Companion book sitting on my coffee table in my 1917 living room (I know, they did not have coffee tables back then but what can I say). Buy both copies, spread the books out on a table, and enjoy the afternoon.

Not Complete, But An Excellent Choice

Contrary to what some of the previous reviewers have stated, this book is not a complete reference to all of FLW's buildings, at least not pictorially complete. Instead, the most complete one-volume reference on FLW is Storrer's _The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion_.
That having been said, this is an excellent addition to the Storrer book because all of the pictures are in color, many of them very large and covering an entire page, whereas the Storrer book only has black and white.
For the price, this is an excellent buy, in my opinion, and it was even better when I bought it severeal months ago because at that time Amazon was bundling it for only about $16 with the Storrer book.
For those people who can't spend the almost $80 for the Storrer book, this is a good deal.

This book arrived before time and in pristine order . About the book itself , well , I was surprised at the vast coverage of FLW 's designs . It is a very high quality tome full of very exceptional quality photographs and a capsulating text describing the genius of this man , or should I say brilliant Architect . I have always liked his work and the geometry of his designs , embracing the Art Deco styles . Being an Engineer , I like his bravery with regard to structural design . In particular , the placing of the " Falling Water " house on top of a waterfall was brilliant .
I am well pleased with this book . It is going to take time to wade through this large book .
I recommend this book to any Architect , or Engineer . It inspires .
