"Sometimes, all it takes is one event to bring you into your powers..." ~Cee Brown
...It all started with a vision of love. When Pandora Pine asked me to read her latest book, I was all for it. After all, I am well aware of her On the Radio Series, her Sand Dollar Shoal Series, and her Reading, Writing, and Romance Series and who does not like the Student Bodies Series? This author may play in the MM genre, but she does not limit herself to one type. Romance may be the end game, but Pandora will write about mystery, family, and sheer comedy. And that is what the readers are going to get with this book, a prequel of sorts for the author's newest series, Cold Case Psychic.
"The future is fluid."
As a Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys fan, who will jump on the paranormal/fantasy bandwagon whenever offered, this was the perfect feast. All Carson wanted was to be like his mother. He didn't have her gifts, but he could pretend. When HR Manager Truman finds himself in a predictament, he never thought the gorgeous man who flirted with him would cause changes in his life not even he could understand. Take one not-so psychic who wanted to believe and give him a vision. Then drop a gorgeous man into that vision who needed saving and you know it will be good.
With Carson hiding secrets, and Truman scared for his life, what would it take to keep these men from running? From Visions of love and each other.
As a side note, Dead Speak will be out in January and though Vision is a prequel, it sets the world up and introduces the psychic aspect to this newest series that will focus on two other main characters. Personally, I cannot wait!!
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
There were some positives in this book. Some of the character banter. Carson and his brother Cole was heartwarming. Truman and his best friend Cassie could be funny, too. Descriptions in some places made the events seem so real.
I picked this up looking for a mix of mystery and romance. This book had both and could have been so good. I thought it would be along the lines of the Curl Up and Dye series by Aimee Nicole Walker, but the characters were mostly one dimensional, with only glimmers of depth. The plot was a good idea but wasn't enough for a book this long; a novella would have been better.
Truman is a green eyed drak haired 6'3 vision, well the vision is much more. They're soulmates, love at first sight, romantic dates, as well as a killer out there, full of rage, and targeting Carson's lover. 'Vision of Love' leads into the series, shows what psychic are, what they can do, the world building and town, as well as characters. The typical scoffing and skeptics are there as well as believers. I would advise reading this story if you begin the series, don't do what I did and read them out of order. 4 Stars - Read on the Kindle Unlimited Program - Dan's Wife
The secondary characters are as detailed as the MCs and that always makes books so much more. Can't wait for the next one.
