The only part that bothered me about the book was the occasional grammatical faux pas. For example: the incorrect use of "plum." Corder's editor should have caught "wore me plum out" and substituted the correct "plumb." A minor annoyance, since I got the book for free on Bookbub.
We are already talking about doing a group read of Business dating by Honoree as our next book.
This is one of those books. When it was first recommended to me, I hesitated to read it - after all, I already had a personal vision statement and I was pretty good at setting goals in order to get what I wanted to get.
But, I had a gift card, so I bought the book. And let it sit on my bookshelf for a while. I decided to bring it with me on a family trip, knowing that I wouldn't have any internet connection and that a review of what I thought I already knew would be beneficial.
I started reading the book somewhat casually, quite honestly not taking it super seriously. But it quickly sucked me in. Honorée is a talented writer, she has an unique method for making goals reality (and making a lot of progress with those goals in just 100 days) and she asks thought-provoking questions.
After reading her book, I totally rewrote my vision statement and drastically changed my method for achieving my own goals. Working on my goals day after day is no longer the drag that it used to be, and these goals are now tied in to a vision statement that I really resonate with. Every day I see myself getting closer and closer to my goals, and it feels fantastic.
This book definitely isn't 'just a review' or a rehash of techniques and ideas in different books. It is most definitely worth a read for anyone trying to take their lives to the next level.
It should be noted that I actually read this a while ago in paperback form but it wasn't until today when I saw the free offer that I revisited the book for a refresher and decided I really needed to leave a review.
With a healthy mix of practical action steps and more important mindset strategies and advice, Vision to Reality blends together the ingredients it takes to achieve true success and progress.
Not only is there a ton of practical advice and the process to get your A$% in gear, there's also a ton of inspiration that you can go back to again and again. Honoree is a very close personal friend and shared an early draft with me. When I re-read the close to final version a few months later the inspiration worked it's magic on me all over again.
The real beauty of Honoree's wisdom is that it's totally real, battle tested and what she does herself to continue to amaze me with her success after success. I can't stand books from supposed "experts" who tell you what you should be doing, when that's not what they do. I know for a fact that the process Honoree recommends in this book is exactly what she does herself. How many people do you know that have written over a dozen books all while leading and growing a super successful training and coaching company, raising a family and staying deeply involved in the community?
Find out exactly how she does it, and how you can too. Buy this book. You'll be glad you did.
