About our Premium Vital Wheat Gluten:
Gluten Free? Not today. Vital Wheat Gluten, also known as the Natural Nemesis of Gluten Free, is derived of the protein found in wheat. Our Vital Wheat Gluten comes in powder form, and is made from wheat flour that has been hydrated to activate the gluten, and then processed to remove everything but that gluten. That gluten is then dried and grounded back into a powder.
When mixed with with water and spiced, our Vital Wheat Gluten will make seitan, a vegetarian "meat" that is rich in protein. Our Vital Wheat Gluten, which contains tons protein, can also be added to regular flour to increase the content, resulting in high-gluten flour, which is ideal for baking chewier breads.
We recommend storing the pouch inside and under dry conditions to maximize freshness.

Used it in a loaf of keto friendly bread and it turned out great as you can tell by my photos. This is the closest to regular bread in texture and softness, with a nice crust.

This vital wheat gluten is THE best brand I've used. ONLY After reading review after review of positive results, I decided to take the plunge & go for it. Boy am I glad I did! Now that I've tasted the best, I feel like I've been missing out! Below, I've attached a couple pictures. The first is with the brand I was using (sorry, no back-peddling now!) I placed both brands side by side to show you the size comparison. I wasn't exactly sure just how much 4 pounds of product would be but assumed it was just less than the 5lb bag of sugar. The vital wheat gluten arrived & it was actually a larger bag than the sugar bag with slightly less ingredients as it's 4lbs, not 5 like the sugar. Immediately I wanted to give this product a try, especially after reading so many great reviews! Plus, I needed more seitan for the following day meals. The second picture is simply the nutritional label . Can you believe all the protein?! GO VEGAN, STAY STRONG! I got right to it & made it the same as I made the other brand; 1 cup product to 1 cups water with herbs/spices mixed into the dry product then add water. Bake @ 350 for 70 minutes, rolled in foil, pinch the ends. EXCELLENT! The texture is smoother, softer, & more fluffy. It has a firm but not dry texture. I will never go back to the other brand & I'm glad so many people tried this product & left such honest reviews! Without reviews, we may purchase a not so great product. With this product, you can be assured you're getting a superior product! I can't wait to try this in a bread recipe!

Made seitan for the first time using this product. It was just the right texture and made the most amazing vegan ribs. The product was packed carefully and arrived on time. EDITED TO ADD: they made it right by sending me a brand new bag of this stuff, no questions asked. It got here quickly, too.
I love this stuff. It makes wonderful seitan. This is the second time I've bought it. This time I received damaged product, but this item can't be returned! I'm very disappointed now because I can't use this stuff or get it replaced. I wish I could just get a refund.
