I just opened this new container and it was only half full and there was no scoop in it. Normally it’s filled to the top and the scoop barely fits in. The container was sealed but I was concerned it had been tampered with.

I will admit that this does not pair well with all drinks. However, once you find the drinks it complements then it is delicious! It is slightly sweet, slightly coconutty, and slightly rich/creamy as it should be. I find that it is excellent paired with matcha, chai, and Clevr Blends drinks. This is also a great alternative creamer for coffee for those who have food sensitives/restrictions.

Some users have mentioned issues with clumping/not stirring well. I have not had this issue, but I have an effective method of blending. I dump the collagen in hot water, let it sit for at least 30 seconds, then use one of those milk frothers to mix the rest. Then I add whatever drink/powder/coffee/milk and am left with no clumps!

The milk frother is maybe $9 here on Amazon, so if you do not have one, it is worth purchasing and makes all the difference.

It is also cheaper here on Amazon then the Vital Proteins website, so get it here!

I really wanted to like this, and tried several times to convince myself that I did. No. I couldn’t do it. The taste and smell are terrible. Vanilla? I don’t think so. This used to be my favorite thing in the whole world. I loved this coffee creamer. But they have a box on it now that says "now with improved taste!". I'm so sad! 😭 Why fix what isn't broke?? The consistency is different. It used to make my coffee creamy and frothy. Now it disolves instantly and only adds sweetness and too much coconut flavor. I dont even taste mocha. Doesn't even seem like a creamer anymore. Just like sweet coconut. Please go back to original formula.

I only used this product a few times and in general I came to like it on day 4. I may purchase it again if I see results by the time I run out of it. I’ll share an update when that time comes.

This product is not for everybody out there.

-If you are a coffee person and want to get your “vital proteins” in your coffee, then this helps.
-it does not have a coconutty or any flavor once its in your coffee, but it does have a texture and a little salty taste. I like it but without any sweeteners (stevia or sugar). When I first got it, I was adding stevia and it tasted horrible. It tastes way better without any sweeteners and it actually made me drop the sweetness in my Cappuccino (using the Nespresso machine), which is a great and amazing thing! I used to have my Cappuccino cup with brown/white sugar on a daily basis for 5 years! However, the calories are high and a lot more than the ones that were in the sugar I used to add.
-It does give a lot of energy and one day I went without it and felt absolutely drained out of energy.
-I would get it again if I see results by the time the little box runs out.
-I did it get the shipment really quick and it was not lumpy.
-If I don’t see results by the time the box runs out, then I would not ever get it again as its pricey and high in calories and does not have an extraordinary taste.
-it worked well with Macademia and Cow milk. I liked it better with Macademia milk and no sweeteners.
-Mixing it was hard, I had to use a little whisk in my cup. If you do not mix it well you do get this really bad sand texture between your teeth!

So, it all comes down to if it gives great results and helps with better skin, hair and nails!

I was taking collagen capsules but they always stuck in my throat. I went to gummies after that... But spotted this recently and I love it. For anyone that complains about putting it in their coffee and having it lumpy, use a frother... I also add inulin and a heaping scoop to my morning coffee... And if I want it cooled down I add a touch of half and half.... And I froth it... I'm addicted I am going to try different forms of collagen based products as I am adventurous but so far I'm addicted to this! The reason why I started... They said it was good for your hair and your nails and they weren't kidding. My hair grows quickly, I found this on a clearance sale at a local grocery store and started using it everyday two cups a day one scoop in each cup. After that I came to Amazon and found this again... I have to say my hair grew so fast... It was midway down my back. Which might sound like a good thing to most people but I am 67, had fallen and dislocated my left shoulder. Guess what? I could not use both arms to twist my hair into a bun because it was hot out... I also couldn't wash the massive amounts of hair. Someone had to wash my hair for me and I decided to cut it off. I've got a pixie cut. I'll let you know how quickly it grows out!
Oh my nails.... I don't like long nails... I have to cut them at least weekly. I think it's supposed to be good for my bones and there's a million other health benefits, I'll let you know how I do.

I have trusted Vital Proteins to be my collagen of choice for several years, spending quite a bit of money on it, telling friends about it. The ingredients were pure, no artificial sweeteners, fillers etc. Over the past month or so, I started having stomach problems, bloating, gas, stomach pain,gaining weight for no reason. I looked at everything else in my diet, never suspecting my Vital Proteins would be the culprit. After ordering another four canisters I happened to look at the ingredients again, and they have changed to adding maltodextrin, a very unclean, un-keto filler which causes all of the above. I figured out in my previous multi-can order that I was sent three of the old type, and one with maltodextrin, which I just finished off. Because of Amazon's policy not allowing the return of food-type items, I am stuck with over $100 of collagen creamer which I cannot use because of the new addition of MALTODEXTRIN!!
Edited to mention, added one star after reaching out to Vital Proteins who had good customer service and directed me to how to get a refund for the purchased product.
