For some reason, Amazon has several listings for this identical item, all with different prices. At the time of this review, I noticed a $50 difference between the cheapest and most expensive listings for the very same item. So if you choose to buy, in order to get the best price, type "Vitamix 780" into the Amazon search bar and choose the listing with the best price. While some listings show package contents and others do not, all Vitamix 780 will come with the same contents in the box, so as long as the listing says it is "new", just choose the listing with the best price. I listed the other two listings I found today below for convenience.

Where do I begin? Like most, I've seen the infomercials comparing the Nutri-Bullet and the Nutri-Ninja to other blenders, and for the past year I've been enjoying the benefits of both Nutri's, and I was quite satisfied with the results..., for a while, that is until I began experimenting with more exotic combinations of ingredients, like frozen pineapple chunks and Chia seeds, or Flax seeds, or even Black berries and Kale. I became aware of the limitations of these devices, they never really made smoothies, they made sorta an approximation of what a smoothie should be, but could never blend the seeds, greens, or other intems into a true amalgamation of flavors and textures. I was always left with seeds that had to be chewed and bits of greens floating in, and killing my illusion of a smoothie. But they served my nutritional needs, and for the buck, they were ok. Recently I decided to give into my inner cry for a real smoothie machine and sprang for the Vitamix 780. Granted I had to sell my youngest son, wed my 13 year old daughter, indenture myself for 5 years, and surrender my right arm, but believe me when I say it was well worth the investment! With the push of a single button and within a minute or 2, this quiet wonder produced a concoction so smooth and well blended that I was truly taken aback in pure awe at its wonderful texture. I included my normal personal smoothie ingredients; kale, spinach, chia seeds,flax, carrots, mango and pineapple and coconut milk. What came out was a smooooth ice cream like, velvety & tasty nutrition. Not a hint of seeds or other chunks could be seen, felt, or tasted, in fact the smoothie was so well blended that this, my favorite smoothie for the past year tasted entirely different, new..., the flavors literally burst on my tongue and slapped my taste buds!Read more ›

This is a high-tech commercial grade blender for the home or business.
Its also easy to use and function for the tasks of which its made for.
The smooth control surface means if you spill or happened to put food on the controls, you can easily wipe it clean, something that's more of a challenge with knobs and dials.
Blendtec has had this kind of control surface on their machines for awhile now as well Kitchen Aid and its proved to be valuable over the use of these machines. These machines are bought by consumers who use them regularly more so than the lower priced common blenders and they are bought intentionally for their effectiveness toward blending ingredients, which they do a better job because of their speed and power .
Vitamix is used more so in commercial applications because they do the job well and they are built rigidly to be used often on a daily basis. After using a Nutri Bullet for awhile and a pretty good Kitchen Aid, this blender works so much better in blending everything and does so quicker.
I also purchased Vitamix's smaller 32oz. wet containing jug for smaller quick one person blends, the 64oz. jug is bit big for those kinds of tasks but is still works nevertheless.
This blender also looks modern and attractive on its own which fits well in today's modern designed kitchens and counter tops.
The 7 year warranty also adds to the reassurance that your buying a well made product that's going to last.
People question why does this very expensive blender, as well Blendtecs do not have glass containing jugs ?
Well the answer to that is is that they can break easily if tipped over or dropped.Read more ›
