So I've been enjoying the chia seeds overall, but today I found a red piece of string/thread in my spoonful... Kind of gross. It looks like it could have been off of a bracelet or something? Definitely won't be buying it again because that just grosses me out. Chia seeds seem to have qualities of Omega-3, calcium, iron, antioxidants, fibers among many others. Almost super food. Viva Naturals Organic Chia Seeds are nice size, great quality seeds.Reviewed in Canada on July 13, 2017
It is recommended not to eat them just like that or if you do, have plenty of liquid afterwards. Since they are hydrophilic, they will attract water in the body if not soaked or added to liquid. I usually add it to water and let it soak before consuming the water. You can see in my pic before and after soaking.
Even better would be to grind it in powder and add it to your food, beverage, breakfast, cereal, salad etc.
Since I am a vegetarian, I use the powder as egg substitute as well for baking needs. Works perfect(Use 1 tablespoon finely ground chia seeds and 3 tablespoons of water per egg in a baked recipe)
You can make healthy pudding out of it as well, just check for recipe online.

These Chia seeds are of very good quality. They are organic and good value for money. I usually soak a spoonful of seeds overnight and drink it with water in the morning. You can also use these in cereals, bread and smoothies. These are very healthy, loaded with essential nutrients, and good for skin. I have noticed my skin is better after I included these seeds in my daily diet. They have also helped in reducing my weight. I am going to continue using it and will definitely order again. Packaging was good and was delivered by Amazon on time.

This is the second time in less than 2 months that I have ordered the Viva Naturals Chia Seeds. The seeds are clean, and from what I learned in research, chia is one of the nutritious plant foods. I soak chia seeds with almond milk in 12 ounces mason jars overnight and put some fruits and cacao nibs when I break my fast the following day.
Highly recommend.
