Our grass-fed ghee is delicious in your favorite dishes or your morning coffee. As a popular form of clarified butter, ghee is more digestible, shelf-stable and full of essential nutrients - great for lactose-sensitive and Paleo diets. It's rich in sweet nutty flavor, with a heavenly aroma.
It’s also natural in every sense of the word. That means, it can have different textures and colors - it may be grainy, runny, or separated, and vary in color from pale yellow to deep gold. This happens because ghee’s made up of many fatty acids with different melting points. Depending on the surrounding temperature, the ghee can go from liquid to solid and back again. It’s a sign that our ghee is truly pure.
The secret? First, we source the creamiest, best-tasting grass-fed butter. Next, we reduce (‘clarify’) it until we’re left with nothing but a pure butterfat that’s silky smooth. Our grass-fed cows make all the difference, grain-sourced ghee just can’t compare.
With a smoke point of 485°F (252°C), ghee is ideal for high-heat sautéing or deep frying. Of course, it IS a form of butter, so you can spread it on toast, muffins, bagels and more, or melt and drizzle it over veggies, potatoes and popcorn. The possibilities are endless.

The Viva Naturals Difference
While other brands may come from grain-fed cows, we source our butter from grass-fed cows for a difference you can taste. We then reduce the butter into a pure, aromatic butterfat. How can you tell it’s all-natural? Different jars can have different textures (like grainy or runny) and colors (from light yellow to deep gold). That’s because ghee is made up of many fatty acids, each with its own melting point. Depending on the surrounding temperature, they melt or solidify, bringing about changes in texture. To melt it, just set in warm or hot water. For a creamy texture, melt your ghee, place in the fridge until it has solidified, then store at room temperature.
