Traps Male spotted and striped cucumber beetles! Great for cucumber, cantaloupe, winter and summer squash, pumpkin, gourd, watermelon and many other species of cucurbits. Cucumber Beetles are a major problem wherever cucumber, watermelon, pumpkin, cantaloupe, squash and other cucurbits are grown. Beetles can kill or severely stunt seedlings and on older plants damage stems and fruits. The beetle is well known for transmitting bacterial wilt, and some viruses. Gummy stem blight is also associated with beetle damage. Larvae feed on roots, reducing yield. The trap contains a strong adhesive to hold male beetles that are attracted to the multi-pheromone lure. Place in garden when seedlings start to emerge or beetles appear and start feeding on flowers and foliage. The lure will attract various types of male cucumber beetles: Striped cucumber (Acalymma vittatum) Western striped (Acalymma trivittatum) Spotted cucumber (Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi) Western spotted cucumber beetle (Diabrotica undecimpunctata undecimpunctata) Instructions: Place lure on or very near to yellow sticky trap. Replace when filled with beetles or dirty. The lure lasts for 3-4 weeks depending on temperature.
Use one trap & lure per 2,000 square feet (45' x 45'~) for monitoring, or one trap & lure per 400 square feet (20' x 20'~) for mass trapping

The 2 traps have hung for 1 week so far and I'm going to throw them away because...
After hanging for 24 hours 2 traps caught neary 100 small black beetles (not a problem pest or target pest). After 48 hours I found 4 Cucumber Beetles as well as many more non-targeted beetles, nearly a dozen Bee-like bugs (not honey bees), 2 Ladybugs, 3 Green Lacewing Adults and 1 Butterfly. Unfortunately they hung for another couple days and caught a 2nd butterfly which is completely unacceptable.
I'm extremely disappointed and am now returning the 3 unopened packs for a refund. In my experience, you will trap more beneficial bugs than bad by far!
These traps DO NOT catch honeybees. I have a honeybee hive 20 feet away and haven't caught any of my bees. Only caught cucumber beetles, green flies, leaf hoppers, mosquitoes, and leaf miners so far.
4 Stars - because the price is ridiculously expensive for a piece of plastic, glue and lure. Shop around and you can find these AGBIO Brand traps for about half the price on other gardening websites/catalogs.
