I wanted a cheap (very cheap) camera to use while rock climbing. If I had beat the crap out of the camera before the day was done then I would have nobody to blame but myself. If the camera had simply not functioned due to a day of punishment on the rocks then I would have nobody to blame but myself.

However, after taking nearly 30+ pictures throughout the course of the day documenting the ascent I came home to find that only one (1!) was still extant. The last picture. The LAST picture! Argh. It *appears* the camera reset itself back to its factory defaults just before the last picture of the day, formatting the hard drive in the process. Dunno.

I wasn't expecting brilliance. I wasn't expecting a lot of features. I wasn't expecting amazing pictures. I just expected the camera to retain the pictures it took.

Too much to ask, I guess.

I gave these away as part of a wedding party, and they were great. Actually, they were exactly like the old film-based disposable cameras you used to be able to get a few years ago, only digital. Do you have huge expectations of the quality and long-term nature of the camera? No, but at this price, it's a great camera for kids, for special occasion purposes like weddings, or for a vacation where you don't want to overload your phone with photos, but you don't necessarily want to lug your super-fancy camera to risk losing it or having it stolen, plus it's light-weight, so it doesn't hog up your suitcase space. I also found the photos on this little camera to be extremely easy to download. All in all, I felt like this camera over-delivered for the price.

I did not expect to get a grade A camera (for which I paid less than $15). But the photo quality is absolutely TERRIBLE, and many pictures ended up completely sabotaged. I would recommend this to no one.

I wanted a cheap digital camera for my kid. Easy to use, etc. Although easy to use, and cheap at 10 bucks, it is the WORST pictures I have ever seen on any camera - even in sol call HD mode. Tried all modes and settings. All pics look blurry, fuzzy, out of focus, lousy. Very disappointed. For ten bucks, you should at least get something that takes a decent picture. The software disc you install is the only cool thing in the package. Makes you wish you had a decent camera to play around with the vivatar experience disc. Vivatar should be ashamed.

When I bought the cheapest camera I could find, I knew I was sacrificing quality for price, but I didn't know that cameras got this bad! The manual is available online from Vivitar's website, and I wish I had read it before buying. Removing the batteries or allowing them to run low will result in all photos being deleted. The highest quality photo is 640x480, which is not quite good enough to get prints made, and the photos look awful even for that resolution. And it only stores 26 photos at that size.

The camera was unusably bad. I would only recommend it if you have to have a digital camera, can download the photos off of it daily, only need to take tiny photos, don't mind the low quality, don't have a cell phone with a camera, and you have only $15 to spend.

Maybe it was the software, maybe it was the camera, maybe his shoes were too tight, but this didn't connect to the computer and display pictures. I'm not even sure it took pictures. It's cheap, basically a pinhole camera with a button. Don't bother.

I bought this for my daughter so she can take pictures of her cat and she did not like it at all. The pictures came out very blurry. In the description it says you can take up to 200 pictures but how? She wasn't even able to get 100. We since bought another Vivitar at Walmart for $30 and it works great. I am sending this one back.

I won this on a stacker machine so I'm not quite complaining but it's not a very good camera. It feels cheap and it doesn't even have a screen. I have a Vivitar video cam that works great and I love it- despite its lack of a tripod screw in area thing- but I paid 50 cents for this one so I don't much care. It's kinda like a digital disposable camera.
