This book is extremely well written, from the heart of a former EFL and ESL teacher, coach. It is difficult to read this book without experiencing the author's passion in helping students to boost their language. To echo the author's own words, I agree, 'vocabulary is the master key for all learning'. I believe this is a much-needed resource, which is critical in helping students think wider and start enriching their brains with new ideas through a well-designed strategy that's geared to expand comprehension of language.
Beyond the core factors of teaching and learning, this book is a tool, a step by step guide for better learning and enriching the mind at every single moment! I truly believe we have from this author a tried and tested masterpiece of a strategy to help boost vocabulary knowledge! A good strategy should lead your way and lighten your road. Adel has crafted a solution to foster a successful practice of language learning! This is a must read. Highly recommended for every student and teacher of any language!
Alharbi not only teaches this, but also applied it to his own learning of English. What better way to learn than to follow the footsteps of another who has been there and really understands?
In case you’re wondering, there are charts, graphics, and tables for better visual application to the written strategies. There’s even a breakdown of the main points at the end for quick reference.
Even if you are a native English speaker, there are some helpful tools to learn and apply in this book. On top of all that, it’s a quick read and great guide to keep handy!
The author lays out strategies to employ and discusses them thoroughly as well as the academic underpinnings of how and why they work.
This is both a step by step guide, and a Master's Level Treatise on Vocabulary building methods for those learning languages (especially English as a 2nd language).
This is the kind of book I wish my teachers would have read.
