Editorial Reviews

2012 album from the French outfit. The album's hot buttered sound comes from it's wide range of influences, from French chanson, traditional indie pop and Aphex Twin to African and Middle Eastern sounds, which can be heard in particular on 'Les Plus Beaux' and 'Do You Want to Dance', which bookend the album. The album was mixed by Tinariwen's studio bod, Jean-Paul Romann. The band's previous album was release on the estimable Fence Records and they have previously toured with King Creosote and Jon Hopkins and Camera Obscura.

I first heard this band play live at the Pitchfork Paris 2012 festival, enjoyed the sound a lot and wanted to find their record. An easygoing, charming indie record with pretty lyrics and an overall nice atmosphere. Bravo!
