The mount ships with four lag bolts which is to be expected so as to mount it on two studs. However, as I soon found out, the base plate which mounts to the wall is only 15" wide! The maximum distance you can get between lags is only 14". Since the distance between studs is typically 16", there's no way to span two studs with this. Since only one stud can be hit, I decided to center it up on one stud and use two lags in the center holes with a couple of drywall anchors on the outer holes. However, the designers sacrificed one of the center holes to put in a level. The level is a good idea, however, putting it in place of one of the center holes wasn't. I'm not going to hang this with drywall anchors and one lag. It's a shame because it would've been an easy matter to have made the base plate two inches wider.

Don't be silly! Of course, this won't fit on two studs (16"OC let alone 24"OC). On dry wall or plastered, single stud mount for light TV's. You can bolster one side with toggle bolts. I would say 30Lbs max for one stud mounting. Don't expect to hang a heavy TV on this one, unless you have specifically placed 2x4's! Obviously, concrete, solid beam or block wall, different story.

I got this in and installed it the same day. Many reviewers will note that it is too narrow to span two studs. My installation was a brick wall on the exterior of my house so this was not an issue. The included anchors worked great for this. Drill a 3/8 hole for the anchors, NOT the slightly larger M10 that is recommended in the instructions. I drilled 3/8 with intentions to enlarge the hole from there but found the anchors fit almost loose in the smaller hole and any larger would have been a problem. Also, for any led small enough for this bracket will work fine in drywall with the anchors. My 32in is only 10.1 pounds, and many 40" led TVs are around 19 pounds

You need a hammer drill to drill into concrete or brick! You will burn up masonry bits and spend hours fighting it with a regular drill. With a hammer drill installing this will be a 15 minute job.

I don't know if the product has changed or not, but after reading reviews of this being thin and cheap I can say there is no way mine is the same as theirs, you can't mistake this for cheap. It's easily up to its rating.

It comes with tons of screw sizes to mount to your TV, except M4 like I needed. .80cents at home depot and this this was ready to roll.

Thin metal, but plenty strong for lightweight lcd TVs. I mounted a Best Buy black Friday 42 inch Sharp with vesa 200 x 200 mounts and it is solid. Like everyone else, I put two lag bolts into studs and then I used two drywall anchors for the other two screws because the mount does not span two studs. But it is still plenty strong. The holes to mount to the wall seem a little big for the lag bolts, so you may want to use some washers like I did. The washers are not included, but a whole bunch of other screws and lock washers are. The extra hardware you get is almost worth the price.

The product itself is perfectly adequate - sturdy enough for the rated size TV as long as it isn't super heavy. I mounted a fairly light 39 inch with no problem as far as sturdiness. The built in level is a great feature.

My only complaint is with the bolts and plastic anchors provided. The bolts are heavy duty (5/16 carriage bolts) and would work fine if you were lucky enough to find a perfectly positioned stud. But even though the bolts are large they slipped out of the plastic anchors provided - just didn't hold. So I made a trip to the hardware store and added a second set of holes to use anchors and screws that are securely holding the bracket in place.

When installing TV wall brackets, I usually feel more comfortable installing on studs rather than via anchors to a dry wall. The wall mounting holes on this bracket weren't spaced far apart enough to reach across two studs and the direct center of the bracket is where the spirit level is so I couldn't even mount on one stud, not to talk of two. I, therefore, had to use the anchors provided. After mounting to the dry wall, the bracket felt strong and sturdy enough and comfortably carried the weight of the 40' LED TV. The installation was very simple with clear instructions and all the required hardware provided and the whole installation process took me less than 20 minutes. For the price, this was a an excellent buy. I only wish the bracket was wide enough to mount on studs.

I purchased two of these, I returned 2 of these.

They were terrible and pretty worthless.

The spread of the holes at the widest point is about 15 inches, which if you know anything about houses isnt wide enough to reach the center of the studs in your wall which are 16 inches apart. You need to attach the TV mount to the CENTER of each stud. Which means you need a range of 16 to 18 inches to screw this into your wall. This mount isn't made to do this, I wonder if studs are only 14 inches apart in some parts of the world?

If so, fine. But this mount will not work without major modifications for most American households. The metal is nice and thick, mount seems solid, but the design oversight made it worthless to me.
