With the recent heat waves, I needed something to keep me cool at night rather than leaving the air condition running all night and raising my bill. I saw this miniature fan on Amazon and did a little comparative research on this fan and other fans. Eventually I ordered this fan because of cost and size since I really couldn't determine the amount of air it would put out. The first thing I noticed is the two settings; low and high. One star was removed because of the noise level at the high setting. It was enough noise that I didn't feel it was quiet enough for bedtime use. At the low setting the noise level was acceptable. The fan doesn't rotate nor is there a light to see the dial which is located at the bottom. You can manually adjust the vertical direction of the fan. Because of its size, don't expect a large volume of output at the low setting which means you have to bring the fan closer to you if you expect the benefit of its output. At this point in time, I'm still getting use to which way to turn the dial to get either high or low setting. I anticipate keeping this fan but if I needed another one I'd probably look again at other options.

Cool color options, good size and throws good air. Only issue, there are two settings. The 1st setting, low, is quiet and throws some air. The 2nd setting, LOUD! There is no in between. Especially for online work, meetings etc. its hard to have this fan running without others hearing it in the background.

I bought one of these in 2012 for my teacher's desk and for my bedside table at home. Best little fan ever, and it never stopped working. When I moved to another state, I sold them to teacher friends. I just bought this new one for my bedside stand, and it's perfect. I can't stand for the air to be still or to be too warm when I'm trying to sleep. The Vornado is one of the better made small fans I've encountered. Low noise level and a lot of good air movement... exactly what I expect from a fan. Two setting are provided for low or high fan movement. Right now at the end of May, the low setting is perfect. I imagine I'll have to set it to the high setting once the Texas heat kicks in.

Plus, the midnight blue color is very nice.

I ordered both the Flippi V6 and the V8.
They are identical except the V8 rotates and is larger.
Both fans are noisy on Speed 2. There are only 2 speeds.
The placement of the ON /off switch which also controls the 2 speeds is a strange dial at the bottom front of the fan. It is very awkward to move. I actually have to life the unit off the table to move the switch. A regular On and Off switch or a dial switch would have been far better.
The V6 has little power and hardly moves the air. A disappointment .
